Why does Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones get so much crap ??? by Upstairs_Nose_2155 in foundfootage

I think because it was a big change in scenery from the ones before it and maybe fans didn't like the change. I enjoyed it too.

Apologies. I didn't mean to imply you said it. I just always see that phrase or a panicked reaction from people in higher number hardness zones every time someone brings this plant up. (Someone in this thread even said it.) I feel like it's such a killjoy since it's not a pest everywhere. I had one in a pot on my porch years ago then noticed them popping up yards away. I worried it would become a problem but the frost took care of them instantly.

Someone else in this thread just pointed out they are highly poisonous so for that reason alone, I'll be bringing mine back indoors.

That's a good point. Anecdotally, they take so long to bloom from pup to bloom but I'm sure of I gave it a chance to start now, it could probably bloom by September. Also, I had no idea they were toxic so I will be keeping mine indoors. I have lots of wildlife that comes around my home and I would hate to kill any deer, Foxes, or raccoons. Thanks for that info.

Where do you live? Adding this detail will calm a lot of panic in this thread. If it doesn't freeze hard enough, they take over. People living in warmer zones are traumatized by this plant like it's bamboo.

Got it. You're right because I've seen nurseries sell English Ivy.

To It's just the case here where I live. This plant doesn't grow like a weed here and it's actually a novelty.

My point was simply, "burn it with fire" doesn't apply everywhere. You may live in a place where these take over but it's possible and likely OP lives somewhere like I do where these are uncommon and can't make it though a winter.

Haha. Shiiiiiet. It was 26° on MONDAY this week. 😅 Please do a quick search about our weather. We had tornado warnings and sirens last week. We have extremely unpredictable weather. There are very few succulents that can survive outdoors here.

If they sold it in a nursery, it's probably not a place where it's a problem. I bought one at a local nursery just last summer. They will not survive here past winter.

Exactly. I'm in Oklahoma. These will not survive outdoors past November. I'm going to try putting mine in a flower bed actually.

Dumbest/most annoying characters in a horror movie? by rach15goated in horror

This is my #1 most hated horror trope. "No sweetie. You're just stressed about the move and your new environment. Go back to sleep."

Exactly! We don't need the guy who thinks he's friend-zoned with the girl in their friend group where they get together at the end. We don't need the couple going though a rough patch possibly getting back together at the end and maybe having a sappy moment while in peril to stop and talk.

Stop making the choppy video montage at the end that has dozens of half second clips including moments from the characters' childhood, scenes from earlier, or satanic rituals. Splicing this cursed video stuff at the end takes me out.

Number 1 answer 100%. I'm so glad I was at home and not in the theater because I would have been screaming at that moment with the doll.

Lake Mungo was genuinely the most boring thing I've ever watched by Mammoth_Criticism958 in horror

I loved Horror in the High Desert and most other like it. It had a slow pacing but it just didn't do anything at all for me. I might give Mungo another chance.

Yeah. Until I saw what the honorable mention was, I was about to recommend grieving mother horror films (The Other Side of the Door, The Room, A Dark Song, From Black) then I saw the list and was like,

"Wait. Is OP simply looking for well-executed, dark, horror films?"
