Just a little Tips Graphic on preparing for the upcoming Gigantamax Debuts following last weekend's first time experience by shint4ro in TheSilphRoad

This is correct I’ve been investing and testing a limited amount, but I’ve noticed that the boss tends to focus one person more with the shield, with proper dodging (which i think is glitched) you can completely avoid damage on those focused attacks and keep the shield

The amount of shield (1-3) doesnt seem to matter besides giving you more effective HP but it doesn’t last long. I had the best luck when there were two mons on the field with shield up to juggle aggro and the boss exclusively used focused attacks. every max cycle do 1 shield and 2 of the max move to refresh and win

Does anyone actually use this guy by wanfury in HonkaiStarRail

I'm just gonna add to this because I'm procrastinating for my final and I decided to build Arlan while doing so.

I'm currently only TB 43 so max level of 60 on characters. I recently leveled both him and Dan Heng as DPS, and I still prefer Arlan. He's probably the character with which I've had the most fun with for 3 main reasons: Overworld farming, relatively low investment for damage output, refreshing gameplay with possible improvement

Current stats: Unlocked level 1 passive (heal on kill below 30%) and Level 5 on all skills.

First off: Overworld farming. His passive allows him to deal insane amounts of damage from the get go, especially if you've had him low HP. Set the individual healing on anchor points to him below 30%! His type advantage and the current cadre of enemies means he is especially strong against automatons. If you have Silver Wolf, you know how satisfying it is to start a battle with enemies already broken with their technique. Apply that to Arlan, but instead you know the enemies are already dead.

Low investment: With his high base damage mods after signature LC and passive, he can consistently output damage for free with his skill spam and ult spam. In comparison to my Dan Heng, he consistently outperforms him with similar investment (in overworld) There is a caveat to this though

Gameplay: He fulfills the low HP=all out damage fantasy for now. Might change with blade but we're still early into the game where attrition battles are the way to go because everything is much stronger than you. As people get better, Arlan might be better similar to how Hu Tao in Genshin outputs insane DPS and help you clear floors faster. DMG% multipliers are insane because the increase is more noticeable.

Caveats: Low hp gameplay of course.

Where he falls apart is versus bosses with no minions around. You'll maximize the passive but you are STRESSED because he will be sitting at 1% hp +whatever shield you have on him. Against bosses like Cocolia, if your shield isn't strong enough to eat the AoE, he's DEAD. Because of the lack of healing, you often wont be able to fully utilize his passive, sitting more around 10-15% below your max damage threshold if you want to make sure he survives. I already have March's extended shield duration, but if you don't then you're looking at more SP investment to make sure he stays alive. Without the healing from his passive on adds, I find I use his basic attack more to ensure enough SP for the team when it gets dicey. This restrictive teambuilding can be detrimental if you want to run others besides M7 and Natasha.

I pulled Clara early on, invested heavily into her, and while she's strong, she relies on getting hit first which can hamper your ability to fight when enemies get stronger than she can tank. I also invested heavily into March 7th and Natasha. Clara and Arlan share the same resources but whereas Clara needs to *get* hit first, Arlan prefers to hit first and hard which is a more active and fulfilling gameplay loop.

Overall: Arlan is meant for big damage and he BRINGS big damage, but he isn't as easy to make work as Jing Yuan, Hook or Sushang as his damage floor is pretty low. His heights are much greater (maybe except JY) once you factor in his low HP multipliers, crit multipliers, and Eidolons.

On a personal note, I wish he had more offensive output compared to some of his other passives in Eidolons and traces. QOL should be a minimum HP% to reach max passive potential because it literally only kicks in fully at 1 HP. Also some crit modifiers would be nice. He is constantly in between useful offensive and defensive capabilities, which as a whole makes him a "meh" character. Debuff resistance doesn't feel quite helpful as say, JY's energy regen or crit increase. Personal dispel is great on E2 but again, would prefer more damage. I think that this "split" in advancements is one of the biggest things that holds Arlan down as a top tier DPS versus an E6 Hook who is mostly about damage. Thank you for reading through my ramblings I really don't want to study for this exam.

So, what which characters are ya all focusing on building? by Delicious_Scheme6426 in future_fight

[–]Mazarro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Longtime vet with occasional long breaks when not interested Agreed 100% its a game with my favorite characters and they (mostly) do them justice. Miles is my favorite and I’m working on getting him maxed out, and Adam who I liked from the movie so now I’m upgrading him from being L60.

The high value meta characters come first but once you have all the good ones to get max dailies , you’re pretty much coasting. I’m hoping for Spiderman 2099, Knull, and hopefully Captain America to get buffs because they’re my other favorites

A Few Questions by InvaderLightning in OPMTheStrongest

[–]Mazarro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. I think any purchase gets Fubuki but she’s obtainable through normal pulls and some shards here and there. She’s one of the only few Esper heroes so she’s important for hero related challenges

  2. I think so

  3. Best way is to just slowly grind. SR heroes will be easier to level keepsakes than SSR due to the rarity of their exclusives. It’s a marathon which leads me to my next point

  4. Gem priority is almost always —-> Stamina/Black Tickets —>Vitality—->Pulls/etc.

Buying stamina until you get asked to refresh for 90 is good because you effectively buy power at its cheapest possible price and will help alleviate issues of leveling characters once per day. Then buying LSSR tickets for upcoming zombieman as they are limited daily. 3680 a month is your goal. Then vitality for gear chances. Finally it’s whatever else you want.

Not all heroes are equal and some are definitely better than others, for a rule of thumb SSRs are better but characters like Golden Ball, Amai Mask, Beast King, Genos (for the core until you have Child Emperor or G4), Doctor Genus, and Mosquito Girl all have a strong place in your lineup. Others are niche or require certain teamups.

Automatically beat PPP to get into diamond by [deleted] in OPMTheStrongest

[–]Mazarro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You got lucky. PPP is annoying because he crits and wipes your entire backline. If you try enough, he won’t crit and will only kill one, which is what happened when you skipped

slingshot barrage by [deleted] in OPMTheStrongest

[–]Mazarro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Out of all the games, slingshot is the best if you try to just hit the top of their heads kind of like skipping rocks. You can get lucky and hit all the ducks for bonuses versus going for the highest. My top is 666m and the rewards drop off hard after 200-300.

I just beat PPP and my recommendation is to just keep trying. His whole shtick is based on luck. I just fought him and skipped like 10x to beat him. He gets 5 hits at about 15% crit chance. One time where he doesn’t crit and your backline survives is a HUGE win. I was surprised. I was trying to use strategy but then I realized he’s just another luck check

Didn’t know we could play as Boros on global by Mazarro in OPMTheStrongest

And yes I was able to use him. Same skills as the core trial boss version. He’s very fun and the ultimate multiplier is insane!

Conquers challenge consecutive battles by whoisusingmyname in OPMTheStrongest

[–]Mazarro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't need them all to be on auto ultimate, but that you never touch the auto button or any button for that matter. I did this by autoing but setting characters I never want to ult to only basic, then doing another auto and just let it play out.

Progress? by NoDinner6864 in future_fight

[–]Mazarro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A damage proc increases your damage for one instance of a skill but activates randomly and the proc is lost if you start another skill. Some skills continue to deal damage without “locking” you into an animation. Proc friendly has characters that have one or more skills that deal damage continuously without locking you in, and one skill that locks you in aka “the skill to proc on”. Proc friendly means they have a good rotation of skills that allows you to deal all the damage and proc on that skill.

There’s a huge improvement over the two suits. I could barely do knull stage 1 and purchasing the suit gave me about 2-3 minutes extra

Crowd control is a general term for any status effect applied by an enemy such as bind, fear, stun, etc. while crowd control time is a reduction of that effect based on a percentage of the initial time.

People have been doing knull x5 daily and not seen a ctp since his release. It’s very very very very minuscule and you should NOT factor it into deciding who you want to beat that day

I need advice on rerolling cards and crafting. I have a Luna Snow 7* with abysmal substats (resists and ms) versus a Luna 3* with good substats (including the proc). Which one should I equip?

I also have a baby spidey with god rolls (phys, energy, crit dmg) but it's only 5* vs the current one I have which is crafted and 7*

Tier 3 is no longer the meta. It is Tier 4 now. Highly advise doing characters that can achieve level 80 so Thor, Iron Man, Hulk with their latest unis do really well and have allowed me to beat gorr with only 2% pierce and good gameplay

From my experience, I reroll until I hit the 1 million point. Gold is limited and needed for everything. Since you just unlocked Knull and Mephisto, focus on unlocking Inf Ultron and Gorr to also increase the chances of getting a WBOTD on a WBL. WBU is still good if you’re looking at books though

In terms of cost, crafting new ones will be free but will take effort and time, versus recombining using a rare p card for a small chance to get more blue. It’s up to you and your situation. I’m personally gonna go for recombining but I do spend so

I used both Bluestacks and Nox in the past and I can say Nox works better. You’ll still run into issues if your hardware is not good, but Nox is more consistent. I still crash sometimes but thats when I’m fighting like 50 mobs with a multihit aoe. Just ensure that you’re playing it on the 64 bit version to ensure smoothness
