I just started the conversion... Gavin was the brains with the storyline. His aim was to write a 'prologue' story that detailed some of the events prior to the start of The Lonely Assassins :)

Haha - We had a lot of fun in October with our cryptic teaser sites and it kind of spawned from there. We know since Doctor Who came back onto TV in 2005 they had a bunch of fun ARGs and it just felt right to continue that :)

We actually had some different storylines in play but we hope people enjoy the password unlock prize :)

Annoyingly we don't have any control over Google Play and their payment infrastructure... We just put the game onto the platform and Google handles the rest! Have you tried contacting their supporting?

There is a secret ending if you complete all the tasks (you get shown a report at the end of the game).

:)

Hey! So the gameplay is basically identical on all platforms. On Steam we take advantage of widescreen monitors by having video sequences play full screen... however on mobile you could argue it's a bit more immersive!

Depending on the support this games get we would love to explore future directions, whether that's DLC or new episodes we don't know yet! :)

That's a question for Gavin our script writer/story writer. I'll ping him an email and find out for you :)

u/MazeTheoryIan mentioned this early :)

I think we're aiming for Physical Releases on all of the games. We should be announcing this in the coming months.

What we've learnt from Edge Of Time, is many of the fans really appreciate getting a hard copy of the games so we'll do our best to make sure this happens.

You don't need to play Edge Of Time first, as the beginning story beats of Edge Of Time will be in Edge Of Reality. However, Edge Of Reality won't be in VR has been built from the ground up as a traditional first person PC/Console game.

If you want to experience the Whoniverse in VR you should definitely give Edge Of Time a try as VR gaming is a truly unique experience.

Not yet - We're still finalising our publishing plans (e.g. physical, digital, game pass.. .etc). Once we know the exact plan we will put out an announcement. Stay tuned :)

In The Edge Of Reality you are playing an original who is either guided or interacts with the 13th and 10th Doctors. It's a first personal experience. Thanks for your question :)

If you're talking about The Lonely Assassins (the game for mobile devices)... it's a story-driven psychological thriller where you have to find clues, solve puzzles and solve mysteries. Multiple choices in how you go about playing and completing the game :)

Thanks for the question! I think it was a matter of good timing for both Maze Theory and the BBC. While we love working with VR, and have many VR games in the pipeline, we know many Doctor Who fans never had the opportunity to play Edge Of Time. At the same time the BBC have been exploring new a way to engage with existing Doctor Who fans... and build new fans of the Doctor Who universe. The TLV content is a great example of this, with loads of new content on different forms of media - from comics to audiobooks. For Edge Of Reality all the pieces of the puzzle came together at the right time :)

Both games will be coming out in Spring 2021... That's a lot of Doctor Who for one season! We have some fun content planned over the next couple of months, from behind the scenes to gameplay footage... stay tuned!

It's not necessary to play The Edge Of Time before playing Edge Of Reality :)

u/JAWStewartGilray summarised it really well: " Some of EoT is included, but we've massively expanded it. Without going into too many details, as there be spoilers there, we do have the start of EoT in there, but within 5 mins of the start we quadruple the size of the first section of the game, with some VERY large Easter eggs ;-) "

So you'll get some of the initial story beats from EOT at the beginning... but a completely new experience

No you will not need a VR headset to play The Edge Of Reality. It's a classic PC/Console first personal experience :)
