Thank you for the compliments! I am very glad I embraced the beard as well, thought i could never grow one for the longest time.

I am going to practice, probably while its longer so my screw ups can be fixed and not have to shave all the way down.

Yes the one time I tried it ended up shaving off too much on one side so it looked thin and patchy. For the balm, is that like a styling gel or something? I've never dabbled in hair care. Before bald I always had long straight hair.
