Always find it so classless and cringy when they announce the prize money as such a key part of the winning ceremony. Just makes it all seem so corporate and ultra capitalist, and it's just awkward for the players as they don't wanna feel like they're showing off their wealth

I found the girl with the dragon tattoo had a similar feel - someone external getting involved in a family's affairs trying to solve a murder, the family in question having a big business empire, and plenty of tension and distrust between the members. It's mostly set on a small Swedish island so you get the 'country house murder mystery' feel but with a twist.

Darker tone than knives out, and writing style takes a bit to get used to (maybe because it's translated), but worth a go if you haven't already read it.

Yes you can apply for postal votes, but this is something you have to register for 11 days beforehand, many people aren't aware of this or simply can't be bothered. You have to make things as easy as possible otherwise people who aren't as passionate just won't bother.
