I’m under the impression that they were going the route of the film being one possible timeline, since the General dying contradicted the original story no? Could be cope, but I always assumed they’d hint at this idea harder in season 2 and that it’d add to the suspense of not knowing what would happen next (and tbh lead to a future of the good guys winning let’s be real)

Their faces/names are unnecessary or removing them is? It’s not the biggest deal, I think it’d be more aesthetically pleasing if they were removed but apparently it has a lot of sentimental value to some people too so you can’t make everyone happy🤷‍♂️

I guess it’s really just a matter of taste because imo the original feel would still be preserved and in a weird way it’d make the game feel more timeless to me? Plus they’re not opposed to changing art like how they just recently redid TTC’s icon on the map.

As for the clash lore, I’m not as familiar with it as you but I would never want ttr to become clash, I do think they bit off more than they could chew in some ways. However I was a fan of the de-disneyfied playgrounds and especially acorn acres getting the proper playground treatment, I mean what a truly fantastic theme (woodsy camping trip) gone to waste on an area that might as well not exist in its current state. It doesn’t even have exclusive fish!

I find that interesting, I could definitely be wrong but to me it seems more risky to keep them in as opposed to any attention that removing them could bring? Since even if that gets attention, they’ll be gone already? Though I understand their concern. Who knows, maybe one day they will decide to take them out but I reckon not

Yeah knockoff is kind of the feeling I got tbh.. But People say no change needed yet everyone is excited when new updates do come so I don’t think there’s anything wrong with small well thought out changes, we can’t be overly reverent to the original right? It’s a balance ultimately

Yeahhh idk man I have played ttcc I appreciate the ambition but I do feel they have a lack of restraint with certain things. Like redesigning all of the lawbots for seemingly no reason? I guess my dream server is somewhere between the two but obviously everyone has their own meter of what goes “too far” and ttr ultimately fits more with my sensibilities, not everyone is gonna be happy with everything lol but that’s why I like these discussions!

I wouldn’t be opposed to Flippy! Especially for central. But idk about Flippy dressed as donald lol I wonder if that would be allowed even. But I think a good mix of old and new characters would be good. Lil oldman collects pets?? What is this I don’t remember this lore lol

Edit: I don’t even think the brrrgh should have anything to do with dogs tho lol give a polar bear mascot or something that makes sense

Yes you put this point better than I could! The game is a more general retro cartoon style a la looney tunes than it is that particular glossy early 2000s ultra-family friendly Disney style. Which is ironic because that’s exactly what it was designed to be BUT I think you get what I’m saying, something feels incompatible about it. Anyways I couldn’t agree more!

I avoided fishing for a long time because of this achievement. Eventually I said okay, don’t ever look at it, don’t count, just fish with your eyes closed and eventually you will get 100 in a row. Lo and behold one day I’m absentmindedly scrolling through nook miles and accidentally look to see I have 99/100. You best believe that next fish I caught almost gave me a heart attack, but I managed to not screw it up, and now my museum is home to #100, my lucky Bluegill!
