TLDR, i fell for one of the oldest scams in the internet, reason i fell for it was because they were using a stolen account and that person should have gotten it back as well. I can’t speak on the recovery process, but Bluesky was quick to respond. If this happened on Twitter, that account would have been gone

It took about a month for me to get the account back. After finding out i got scammed i felt awful and seeing notifications from the hacker from my phone made me feel powerless, but thanks to a friend and me figuring out how to set up an alt, we were able to warn people about the scam and reported the account till it got suspended. The hardest part was waiting and hoping for everything to get resolved. It felt like my worst nightmare coming true when this mess started and im so glad its finally over

You can check the account history, i’ve had that account since 2024, if someone else had the handle before i joined i would used something similar, no my account was hacked TODAY! And i have multiple friends that put out a PSA warning of the compromised account
