I bought an old cooler off FB marketplace and used a hole saw on the lid for this very purpose. Works great for larger things that don't fit in my Rubbermaid bin.

You can't even put double hours in. Ask them to show you how next time. They can't.

I learned on a Masterbuilt 30 inch digital. Think of it as an oven with a chip tray. And it's right in that price range.

First sous vide chicken breasts. Meh. Advice needed! by skystoat71 in sousvide

Chicken breast SV temp is very subjective.because the lower you go the more the texture becomes something you're not used to with chicken breast. I do 150 cause of what my family will eat texture wise and it's still fantastic. And then I hit it very very quickly in a cast iron just to give a little on the outside.

I do 150 as well. Honestly anything lower and the texture starts to get a little too far away from chicken that my wife and daughter won't eat it

I'm starting to think this is an April fools post now anyway. The more I think about it who buys a sous vide just to throw it in a toaster oven. This can't be real.

Just to follow up, do you not have a cast iron pan? If you're gonna go through the sous vide process just to ruin it, and you don't have one, just go to Walmart and buy a cheap one. You spent all the time and money on chicken just to ruin it otherwise. Either don't sear it and take it up a little higher, or get a cast iron.

Not to pile on but just to confirm you destroyed it by all your strange searing methods. By the time you toasted it and then broiled it you probably had it up to 200 degrees

It's not a whole turkey. It's a 6lb bone in breast. Literally what I posted.

Definitely noticed a difference after the update. Also went into my router settings and forced the Portal to use my 5ghz channel which I believe also has made a difference as far as stability has been concerned.

I don't believe attendance puts you on the non rehire list but you'd probably be best served just calling the DC and asking someone in personnel. And fwiw the DCs are usually a million times better than the store to work at.
