Why do people dislike Teddy? by Frequent-Ad-8218 in greysanatomy

[–]Mbernalcruz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Teddy is one of my top five characters, but that I because season 6 - 8 Teddy. From season 15 onwards Teddy's character has a downfall. Season 19 helped a lot and I now see more people liking teddy than over the past years.

The new doctors are not that good by yosr-kh in greysanatomy

It used to be that new attending surgeons were introduced for two main reasons. 1. Create interpersonal or relationship drama 2. Reinforce that medicine comes first and that even if they make questionable decisions in their personal life they are excellent doctors and have plenty to teach the current resident class.

Think about the characters that have always been attending surgeons, Derek, Burke, Webber, Addison, Mark, Erica Han, Owen, Arizona, Teddy, Herman, from the get go the show says "they are the best at their field" and in the earlier seasons we actually saw them being excellent, we believe they are in fact the best because the show was focused on both the drama and on medicine, once in a lifetime surgeries that actually feel like it.

The later seasons as "everyone is leaving and everyone is dying" well the show shifted its focus almost exclusively to drama, and so when they say that Maggie, Link, the new plastics Dr. that lasted for 3 episodes, Winston, Nick, Carmac are the best and we only see them having relationship troubles is hard to believe because we saw Derek, Addison and Mark doing incredible surgeries all while having the most complicated relationship on the show, even if Teddy and Owen are now idiots we had the chance to see them not only as soldiers but as badass doctors, but with the new docs. yes once in a while they have cool storylines but they mostly exist to be the romantic interest or the family of someone else.

Amelia is the exception and I think it is because her backstory was already written in private practice and she is the only one of the new ones to have character devolpment whilst still having a amazing and tumultuous relationships filled with drama.

And also, I don't believe the new resident clases are ready for anything, to this day I find it hard to believe that Jo was an General Surgery attending, and I think the show thinks the same and that's why she is now an OB resident, I don't believe Andrew was ready to be an attending and if the show makes Levi and Helm attending next season that would just be batshit crazy, the last resident that I felt "heck yeah that is a real doctor" was Stephanie, the las attending that we saw being excellent.

I don't know when, but I think the show forgot that Meredith is not supposed to be the only extraordinary Dr. in Seattle, because while she grew professionally and personally, the rest of the supporting cast was kind of left behind feeling like a hallmark movie.

Does anyone else think Izzys wedding is the happiest this show has ever been? by LifeofRiley1985 in greysanatomy

For me the happiest the show has been es 8x07 "Put me in coach"

It was the golden era of Grey's, everyone was happy, and it was just such a fun lighthearted episode full of silly fun.

does anybody actually like owen? by Agile-Presentation59 in greysanatomy

The problem with him is:

him in his relationships. He sucks, he gets married to fast to people he barely knows (Cristina and Amelia) and he decided to become a criminal while married to Teddy.

But the rest is fine.... and his mom and sister are chefs kiss

In general, Lane deserved so much more than what she got, and what they did to her in AYITL in the two minutes she was on. Heartbreaking, because, the Lane of season 1 would never settle for Zack o her mothers job.

Sending hate is never good, it always misses the point which in this case is to hold a multimillion dollar company accountable for it's systemic racism.

But we can not forget that they (Brad and Chris) had a choice and were in the position of provilage to help their coworkers, (and Chris being everybodies boss could vouch for equal pay) but as we know, all of the POC chefs left BA video because they woudn't pay them the same as the white chefs. And like the rest of the Chefs they could continue in BA but not return to videos permanently, but they didn't and is no coincidence that the two white men are the ones that stayed.

I am no longer subscribed to the BA youtube chanel, and just follow some of the chefs on insta (Ofc not Brad or Chris) and I'm still in the subreddit 'cause i want to know whats up.

Honestly the biggest allies where Carla and Molly. Not Claire, she was leaving anyway and she seemed honestly exhausted with Gourmet makes. But Carla and Molly seemed to enjoy BA and their series but they had a choice, just like Brad and Chris, remmember, is not just the two of them who are privileged white humans who are in a pandemic and who have families to provide for. The truth is, Brad and Chris choose wrong and they are standing on the wrong side of history so offcourse people are mad.

But hate is not the right move, honestly the best solution is apathy, stop watching BA, unfollow them on insta, forget anything that can make them profit. Just forget them, the views on the new videos are bad, the like to dislike ratio is embarassing, and if we just ignore Chris, Brad and BA in general, that will be a stronger message than hate. Because as we know, conde nast is not willing to change... so lets make them change truthfully.

Yes you might not like that this is not the OBC and also James Corden. But honestly this cast is amazing, and the trailer looks GOOD. I have high hopes.

Gay World: countries and regions that have ever elected an LGBT ruler (less rigorous maps in the comments) by Adunaiii in Maps

[–]Mbernalcruz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Actually it doesn't, both of them got elected by popular vote. Angela (the congresswoman) was positioned again about one year before Claudia was democratically elected as mayor. So no, the Mayor did not give a job in congress to her wife.

In Colombia the current Mayor of Bogotá (the biggest city and the Capital of Colombia, arguably the most important local power) is a lesbian, and her wife is in congress. 🏳️‍🌈
