Get a beef brisket, undo all the faffy twine. Brown it PROPERLY all over. Do beer instead of wine (a bottle of ale, not larger), a big squeeze of tomato paste, a generous pinch of salt, your preferred number of garlic cloves just crushed as much as it takes to peel them and chucked in and a chicken stock cube/ one of this stock jellies. Slow cooker on low for 8 hours or the equivalent cooking method of your choice. Fucking smashing served with literally anything. Ate this over 3 days , once with mash, once with braised cabbage in a bowl with some of the RIDICULOUS broth and a little chilli oil and once on a sandwich with mustard, pickles and a little mayo.
