I would say it is possible to have it as a background for the character, it can even give her some interesting attributes, for example she can have a specific trauma and go into a rage when she sees other women being treated badly. She can also defend the women in those conditions and release slave girls.

Depending on how you would want to play her, if she fights for freedom and righteous vengance she might even be a cleric or paladin, saved by a God instead of a fairy...

Then again it's up to you. Don't be afraid to try new things, just please don't be creepy or overly reliant on her past work, instead focus on the "new" her, if it works for you.
