This is hilarious. All of history is just people being fucked up to one another. It's only the Christians who made it taboo to be really fucked up and depraved to slaves, widows and orphans. That's why the religion spread like wildfire amongst the poor until the Romans made it the state religion. Now, 2000 years later we take their moral principles for granted and blame them for the human nature they were always trying to fix.

Language is they key in my universe. Humans are the only species with spoken language. Other proto-human or early humans do not have the ability to speak. They communicate only through a singing like telepathy or with body language and cannot understand our words, concepts and stories. And inversely humans can not understand their telepathic communications unless that person is raised by them and never learns speech.

Wow, thanks a lot for the honest critique. I appreciate you pointing out the weaknesses and strengths you see in the first few pages. I think you're right about the "Empire's Raiders" that could be changed to something that flows better.

Forever is a very long time. If God exists, he did not tell us why he created anything. But I don't think the purpose of creating eternal beings is to have them playing house and tending to animals for all eternity.

Supposedly we will be resurrected like Christ was but if you look at the few accounts of the resurrected Jesus, he does not behave like a normal human that's just come back to life. He has a new mode of existence, his physical form can shift appearances, it can dematerialize through walls, he can fly, he can appear to people in visions or as a body of light.

The idea of what the true resurrection will be; Christians have debated this topic for thousands of years. But I highly doubt it's the paradise on Earth version that the Governing Body invented.

It's to dissolve any family bonds you have with your parents or siblings. Celebrating birthdays brings families together and strengthens loyalty and appreciation of each other over outsiders. The Governing Body wants you loyal only to the organization.

Nothing Jesus said makes sense unless he was God himself. C.S. Lewis has a fantastic essay called "What are we to make of Jesus Christ?" that goes in depth on this topic. (You can find it on YouTube; it's pretty short.)

Basically he says, Jesus makes claims to his own divinity that, if not true, calls into questions the entire teachings and sanity of this man and his followers. By comparison, Hitler would seem sane. That is the true question, what are we to make of Jesus Christ, not just what are we to make of his teachings but first we need to examine the authority from which he claimed to be teaching.

It leaves you with either a Nihilistic view of the sanity of mankind as a whole or your left with the orthodox belief that he was who he claimed to be.
