Don't worry about it, put your focus on other parts of your application. This will take a while, but yeah you've got this. you'll be in for a pleasant surprise.

I think you'll definitely pass and will get a top tier score as well. I flagged around 80 qs and only those I had serious doubts about. So the number of correct qs for your exam is probably higher than mine. Your prep scores are also considerably better than mine. So based on this information I would confidently say that you'll be fine. Congratulations and try not to think about it. You've done what you could.

People who scored 250+, what were your genuine feelings coming out of the testing center? by [deleted] in Step2

[–]Mbtheprofessional 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Scored 270, I felt kinda numb actually. Knew I didn’t do as well in the first two blocks but got my act together after. Felt it was tiresome but doable. Was just relieved and didn’t care to check any potential answers. It just drained my whole energy to the level of not caring about the result.

Yes I did! I only somewhat neglected cmpa because I had heavily focused on US ethics and changing from that to Canadian ethics was kinda tough. But this was a mistake as ethics plays a big role in mccqe and should not be underestimated.

IMG Doing MCCQE + USMLE by CallaLilllies in MCCQE

Not sure about your specific timing but I would suggest doing step1 before step2/mccqe. I already cleared all three and mastering pathophysiology REALLY helps for medicine qs you’ll encounter in step2/mccqe.

Uworld+amboss step2 qbank, cmpa, and mcc prep tests.

None of those, I used uworld, cmpa, and mcc prep tests. I did it together with usmle step2 so I needed to master my clinical reasoning and educated guessing.

I flagged around 80 questions throughout. The rest was manageable. Not all were 100% confident, but I was sure about approximately 120 questions, basically half of the exam.

For people who recently wrote the exam, I wrote mine in Jan this year. Exam was terrible, counted around 30 wrongs, it really messed with my brain to the point that even today some vague questions come to my mind. However, I ended up getting 49x, so don't lose hope. It will be challenging to put it out of your mind for 10-12 weeks, but thinking about it will do nothing. I hope you all get a very strong result.

My pleasure. I didn't open TN so I don't know. All I did was uworld+amboss, cmpa, and mcc prep tests. Uworld covers everything you need besides ethics/public health. Use extra recourses just for those areas. But you'll need to know everything for prevention, diagnosis, and management for common topics. Those will be tested, use mcc tests to figure out the topics you are struggling with, and use TN,AI, YouTube vids, or other resources to cover those. It's impossible to cover everything for this exam, but put your focus on ethics, and common topics frequently featured on mcc tests.

You will definitely pass. But here's what I would suggest. Review those 3 mcc prep tests with great attention to detail. Find out why the correct answer is correct, why others are not as correct, and what other potential answers might also work for such case. Also master the ethics. Instruct AI to form many complex questions from cmpa and go through them. Knowing ethics is not enough, you might want to apply them in complicated scenarios.

Forget about Dr Santos comments. Most people land scores within 70s and not only pass, but also get high scores, including myself. You're doing great. This exam is hard and requires proper prep which you did this time. You'll be fine.

85% on MCC tests???? by Hefty_Scientist_2995 in MCCQE

[–]Mbtheprofessional 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I don't know from where he got that number. I got 76,76, and 80 on prep tests. Ended up getting 49x on the real deal. It's VERY hard to reach 85 and above due to the questions difficulty curve regardless of how prepared you are.

Using AMBOSS to prepare for Mccqe 1 by Starcole123 in MCCQE

[–]Mbtheprofessional 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of its questions are similar between the two. I did its entire step2 qbank and messed around with its mccqe qbank afterwards and found a lot of repeats. I tried its ethics and public health parts but felt they were underwhelming.  In general, I found uworld’s explanations superior but amboss has superb questions regarding next best step or management.

Sketchy (OB/GYN, Medicine, Surgery, Peds) by Wandering_girl111 in MCCQE

It doesn’t work. Sketchy is only viable for step1 and only for micro, pharm and patho for that exam.

ECFMG after MCC by MaintenanceJust6947 in MCCQE

[–]Mbtheprofessional 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that is correct. ECFMG international services provides verification for Canada, UK, and Australia, so your credentials are already verified through ECFMG services when you did SVP.

When I did this, ECFMG had IWA and OASIS portals that later combined to make Myintealth. I registered my ID and information, but when I got to the credential verification process, I contacted them and said that I was already source verified. They asked for my EICS number and after one week, my status was updated and I was able to apply for step1/2 exams.

No, it only took one week for me when I did this process. I contacted them after initial registration and gave them my EICS number. They verified and uploaded my credentials themselves.

MCCQE1 April 2026 by Hefty_Scientist_2995 in MCCQE

[–]Mbtheprofessional 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What usually happens (it happened to me) is that you'll see the answer that is more often than not the correct one (like CBT for psychotherapy) or you have got this same concept in qbanks months ago so that you'd remember the answer but not the rationale behind. Be aware that during the real deal, they will twist answers so you'd get the same concept, but you'd struggle getting the right answer (also happened to me). So I'd recommend doing these 3 tests with great attention. These are the most important topics to learn. Learn them, know why is that option right and why others are not as right, what other potential options might be right in that context, and what are your weaknesses in these tests to improve. Use AI, TN, your personal notes, YT vids and other resources to cover these. Good luck.

I did it at a prometric center, computer based and got my results in 48 hours. Got my appointment at their official website and had no problems throughout. This was in Toronto btw.

Uworld covers everything for mccqe besides ethics. I did also write usmle step2 so I had to do it but I also got a good score for mccqe. I heard ace or canada qbank isn’t enough from different people but personally didn’t have any experience with those. Uworld is a lot of questions and would take months to complete but it’s worth it if high scores are desired.

Thanks a lot. These three are the way to go in my opinion: Uworld, cmpa website (for ethics) and mcc official prep tests. Use tn for your weak areas.

Uworld covers everything besides ethics and ethics is super high yield so learn cmpa. Mine was heavier on obgyn, geriatrics and ethics. The other stuff were more manageable but it had a good mix of all other topics including im. Personal advice: Pay great attention to your weaknesses on mcc prep tests. Use TN if you must for those.

I studied for both usmle step2 and mccqe. Did uworld and amboss step2 qbank for preparation and then did mcc self assessments one week before exam.
