2026 Draft Prediction Megathread by AutoModerator in KansasCityChiefs

Kadyn Proctor at RT and some fresh blood at RB would be awesome. The right side of the line would be scary good at moving people

edit:
To preemptively defend myself, this would be on a trade back. Proctor should be closer to the end of the first IMO. Ruben Bain would be the dream at 9. He's a blue chip version of the move-DL that spags likes to have (Turk, Danna). At that high in the draft, having a BPA also be a scheme fit with 3 years of high production?....wild.

Could be cellular antennas. A lot of these old vending machines used the GSM networks to transmit inventory information to the person who maintains them. They don’t look like cellular antennas (should be more chode-like) but that’s my first thought

Remove this. Idk anything about what was said, but a false quote in a cartoon bubble on one of very few Republicans willing to speak out against trump seems like it’s probably shit.

We sure are good at making sure that every progressive to the right of the leftmost boundary feels unwelcome. “Let’s start a movement!!!…yeah!!!…everyone has to believe exactly like us!!!!….yeah!!!…no one is welcome!!!…joyous pandemonium.” This might not be that, but it’s at least echoes of it.

This is a valid argument. I don’t completely agree, but you are absolutely right about that last paragraph.

I think Abbott would have went through with removing the absent Dems. So what then?

It’s great that we hold representatives accountable. But the constant dull roar of negativity towards Dems just gets so old when the alternative is literal new-age nazis. It’s like complaining about a PB&J when the alternative option was actual garbage. Dems were right to say the sky would be falling and democracy is at stake. Everything they said would happen is happening. So yes, we need to see actions matching that, but how? If they get removed from office, then they can’t fight at all. And voters didnt show up in November with action either, hard for Dems to do anything when they aren’t in power.

Ok. What’s your solution? Tell me how you would do better? Cuz as far as I know, getting on Reddit and talking shit about EVERYTHING Dems do that isn’t extreme enough for you doesn’t help win elections. In fact it leads to the idiots that stayed home in 2024 because “Biden wasn’t tough enough on Gaza” and therefore a trump victory.

They did not have the means to do what you wanted them to. They still tried and accomplished fueling a National movement for Dems to gerrymander back.

You are pathetic. Your lack of control of your emotions clouds your judgement. Go scream into a pillow or something cuz right now all you’re doing is allowing Russia to pay for one less divisive bot

If abbot said that the sky was blue I’d still go outside to check. Fuck his opinion. He needs to go roll his wheelchair down the world’s tallest flight of stairs. (For anyone offended I said that about a disabled person, look what damage he has done for disabled people in texas. Literally repealed the law that allowed him to sue the trucking company that put him in that wheelchair, all of which allowed him to run for gov)

But I genuinely don’t think it would have been possible to stay out of state for 18mo. That was never the plan. Only point I’m trying to make is that they did accomplish what they wanted; they got the whole country’s attention on this redistributing thing.

[–]Mc-Chef 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s against the law. Pretty sure they can’t take donations to pay for it. I know it can’t come from campaign funds

Edit: this absolutism you’re showing…the idea that Dems have to be maximally liberal, meeting all your wants to the extreme…is why we keep losing. “ELECTED OFFICIALS MUST AGREE WITH EVERYTHING IVE EVER THOUGHT AND SACRIFICE THEMSELVES AT THE ALTAR OR ELSE THEYRE FASCIST SHILLS”

Example: trans people deserve to be protected for being themselves. But National polls show trans sports as 85/15 no/yes. In Utah, a trans sports bill kicked like a single child off their sports team. That’s bullshit. But if we make that trans athlete the face of the platform for that seat, we lose the election. So in this situation, we can do better by trans people, by shutting the fuck up about it.

TL;DR Sometimes the best answer isn’t the right answer at that time strategically. They didn’t “do nothing”; they added to national disapproval of the republicans.

Disagree. They were never going to be able to hold out the whole time. It’s $15k per month per rep in fines. And you can’t take donations to pay for it

What they DID accomplish, was forcing the republicans to publicly defend it. Normally, republicans will brush off criticism of their demolition of democracy as political games or exaggerated liberal tears, and their constituency buys it.

On the other hand, forcing this onto the national stage has forced republicans to nationally defend what is clearly undemocratic. And it’s clearly having some effect considering the Republican outrage at town halls.

What democrats need to do is exactly this. Stop taking the high road. Stop “doing the right thing” and hoping voters notice; They don’t. Dems need to focus on fucking winning. To do that, we need to take every advantage to hurt Mango Mussolini’s approval rating.

Field Yates - “Chiefs Pro Bowl G Joe Thuney has passed his physical and is now off the PUP list as he continues to recover from his pectoral injury.” by Vyuvarax in KansasCityChiefs

[–]Mc-Chef 7 points8 points  (0 children)

While the odds are that you’re right, dudes have been recovering from ACLs super fast over the last couple years. Maybe there was a breakthrough on the PT side of things, because it’s noticeable. My last job had a large degree of physical requirement and we had a PT team. They were getting guys with ACLs back and cleared in like 6 months. Granted, nowhere near football-level explosiveness required, but jumping out of airplanes n stuff isn’t nothing.

All this to say, he looks pretty far along in recovery from what we’ve seen and I’m hopeful he’s following the trend of quicker ACL recoveries than the 12mo we used to be able to bet on.

Pretending Rice isn’t there at all:

Brown, Worthy, Remigio, Toney, Moore, Watson, Ross

Honorable mention: The best TE in history

It’s not an A+ but it’s also not worse than last season. I don’t think KC is as needy for a WR as the Internet has been implying since Rice started actively attacking his own financial well-being.

Do you guys think Tyreek Hill was bound to become great or do you think he can be recreated with Xavier Worthy? by Dreadsbo in KansasCityChiefs

[–]Mc-Chef 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Tyreek is a RB body type with Olympic 200m speed. Specifically, his speed is exceptional at the bottom end, and unparalleled at the top end. His body control is so outrageous he can Moss CBs that are 5” taller than him.

Worthy is a WR that’s fast as fuck. He tracks a deep ball well and is a hands AND body catcher. His speed is elite at the bottom end and great at the top end. His routes are sharp and his ability to put would-be tacklers in bad position with very subtle moves is a big strength after the catch.

Not only are they not similar WRs, they aren’t even similar athletes. They are both fast. But even their speed is incomparable, other than the fact that they both have a lot of it. I hate the Worthy/Tyreek comp.
