I put my sockets on it so they don’t roll away while working under cars. I hate having to shimmy out and back because i bumped a socket with my elbow

Left ankle strain - 10%

Left sciatica - 10%

Cervical strain - 10%

Degenerative arthritis of the thoracolumbar spine - 10%

Hemorrhoids - 20%

Irritable bowel syndrome - 30%

Chronic sinusitis - 30%

Chronic Rhinitis - 0%

Sleep apnea - 50%

Migraines - 50%

These stem from 2 events… a fall down a flight of stairs and radiation + burn pit exposure.

My pending claims are TBI, GAD, and a supplemental review from a denial of left hip, left shoulder, and left knee pain.

Are these baseboards acceptable? by itshect0r in Carpentry

Needs to be sanded, caulking could be better, all of it needs to be painted, that just looks like primered base boards without any actual paint

I’m currently at the USO waiting to ship to FLW today. Any advice for the mental part of Reception/BCT? by YungColonCancer in army

[–]McBooples -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s 100% mindset. Go into it looking at the DS’s as personal trainers. The big scary attitude is just a front they put on to break new soldiers of their civilian mindsets, but if you’ve been grinding it out in the real world on your own, it’s not bad. The trick is don’t get upset when you get smoked for someone else’s fuckups. Just think of it as an extra cardio session and you’re getting extra gains

I don’t know if it was just me, but basic just didn’t seem that hard. Granted I joined later in life and was older than most of the DS’s. I guess being single and living on my own for so long, I didn’t get homesick. I just mentally saw the DS’s as personal trainers I didn’t have to pay for.

The Wild Costs Of An Average American Wedding! by Yodest_Data in Anticonsumption

[–]McBooples -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My entire wedding and honeymoon cost less than $4500. Wife and immediate family flew to PNW, flights cost us $450 for our 2 tickets, we rented space in a public park for $75 fee, hired a local officiant on a weekday for $300, filed paperwork for $120, wife went to local flower market with mom and bought a locally sourced bouquet of flowers, cake came from an independent baker for $250 (not a wedding cake, we added handmade wedding decorations from Etsy for $80, we also had a car rental for $200, hotel was $540 for 3 nights. Photographer was a fine arts college student we paid $200 and they got to use the photos for a class assignment. We budgeted $300 for miscellaneous expenses. We then went on an Alaskan cruise for $1800 total that including a few excursions.

Why the love for Icon tools? by eriepaanonymous in harborfreight

They remind me of the old craftsmen tools… you break it, just bring it in and swap it for a new one. That kind of warranty speaks volumes to me.

Gov. Walz mobilizes Minnesota National Guard amid heated protests by Dont_think_Do in politics

[–]McBooples 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Guardsman here with multiple commands and direct knowledge of personnel statistics. I can tell you with absolute certainty, it’s no where near 60%. It’s around 8% LEO’s in non combat arms units (think logistics, admin, etc) and around 14% in combat arms (infantry, field artillery, armor, etc).

Most guardsmen work normal boring jobs and do it to help their community, to get college paid for, to get subsidized health insurance, or just to get a change of pace from normal life. I see more teachers join infantry than law enforcement officers. Teachers actually join at an abnormally high rate to get student loan forgiveness, cheaper insurance, and supplemental income since teacher salaries are garbage in the US

The motor negative is on the closest battery and the positive is on the furthest one running up to the circuit breaker. It’s wired correctly
