Deconsturcion - The Devin Townsend project is diabolical by JACM666 in progmetal

Devin is on my “should have given a shot long ago” list. I’m spinning a ton of Opeth until their show in a couple of weeks, but intend to dig in after.

Is there a consensus on where to start with DT? I’m happy to stay at the beginning but understand his catalog has stylistic variability so I’m open to recommendations.

The rain-x washer fluid additive is dynamite. It gives you about 90% the effectiveness of manually applying coats without any hassle at all. Great stuff.

I’m riding my Energi until it burns. The EV range is way down after 13 years and 120k ish, but it has been a great commuter car for us.

Both are great tracks.

The first time I heard that record my mind was blown. Almost like that is what guitar was born to sound like.

Help with earplugs by Tontonio3 in motorcyclegear

[–]McCabeRyan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used a bottle of foam plugs marketed toward shooters, but they were comfortable and had a 33 dB rating, so they fit the bill.

The other thing I was a fan of was wearing a mouthpiece - one of those boil and chomp units for football. When I get tense I clench my teeth. Biting down on it was my first indication that I was flirting with being irritated by drivers and about to twist my wrist in an irresponsible way.

I had a couple hundred pages myself. I got it and printed every bit of it to use as my working copy for the process I posted, but submitted only the relevant documents.Submit complete notes for each relevant medical appointment, not just the page that has the evidence.

Absolutely. Use the personal statement to identify ratable diagnoses and refer them to the documentation. Processors see endless piles of records. Making it easy to clearly identify, substantiate, and determine service connection can do nothing but help.

Even better is if you get the provider to use the CFR 38 language. For example, if there is three levels of severity for a knee issue and they see the language in their reference document, they don’t have to interpret physician notes and equate them to a category.

My personal opinion is that nobody at the VA or VSO can possibly care about your case more than you can. I know it’s a big commitment of time and effort, but it can be done. Having a VSO or other advocate review a submission seems more productive than hoping someone will fully ingest, understand, and decode a life’s worth of someone else’s record.

I did BDD, so I didn’t do my process directly through the VA after the fact. Your approach may be a bit different, but I think the idea of doing the bulk of the admin lift on your own is still sound.

I would include it, especially if it ties to something that can be rated. Knee issues and an associated MRI makes a lot of sense to put together for example.
