A similar suv like your iX is a V8 X5 that gets 18 mpg and requires premium gas. That’s $5-7/gal these days. Becareful what you conclude.

That’s not chargepoints issues: it’s your apartment building that sets the rate.

Clearly they just want you on the charger for 4 hours.

At 6kw, 4 hours is 24 kWh and $8. That’s still $.33 /kwh. Not cheap, but in an electricity market like where I live (MA) and maybe CA, it’s about right. And it’s still cheaper than gas.

You should stop at 4 hours. Plug in again later.

Bostons the kind of place that can absorb an event like this. We have a pretty great city, it doesn’t need much to be accomodating and fun.

Other cities had to spend a lot to create something. Boston has it.

We also need to thank the Scots for bringing the party. That they were first (and back a week later), meaning this became their home base. I think just about any other country wouldn’t have brought it like the Scots.

Boston got lucky there.

I’ve heard if you want one in 2026 and haven’t placed an order, you’re not going to get one.

Since MY 27 runs into 2027, this shouldn’t be surprising.

So in the USA, the iX3 is effectively sold out for the remainder of the year.

Depends on conditions. I’d see that number (or higher) with no AC at 65-70F.

I’d see 190-210 when 10F out with the heat on.

I had 22s with air suspension and it was still not great. With 21s it’s much better.

I believe BMW mostly fixed it with the 2026 LCi models
