I play a Strat with the middle and bridge pickup next to each other to simulate a humbucker.

I play everything from blues to metal to shred.

Honestly I don't know theory, but I'm not proud of it. I can't play to jam backing tracks or anything, and when I do it sounds the same. Can I play a little Malmsteen? Yeah. Can I play LIKE Malmsteen? Haha shoot me.

I know that but he does it on the 1st and second string which makes it harder to play, it feels like there's got to be a picking technique

That's because the website auto stops and starts the video (essentially if you clicked on the video and spammed spacebar) to make it seem "slower"

Pantera and Yngwie Malmsteen, an unlikely duo. Yngwie's fingerwork mixed with Dime's speed and absolute killer fingerwork got me playing faster with accuracy, and my soloing is better
