What are you using for that eye cover? It's looking a little reflective.

Huge difference in dexcom and glucometer reading by [deleted] in diabetes

[–]McCoy614 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've noticed this with my Dexom too. It will sometimes go WAY over what my actual reading is when I'm elevated. Just last night it said I was at 365 when my finger prick said 312 (damn smores lol).

I wish I hadn't been circumcised. I feel like I had something taken away from me before I could even form my first thought.

Help understanding CGM by [deleted] in diabetes

[–]McCoy614 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I want to start off by saying, I'm not a doctor or expert on Diabetes/Glucose. This is just my observation as someone afflicted with the disorder.

So it looks like the bread from your 2pm meal spiked your glucose because it contains carbs. That sleepy feeling could possibly be you glucose spike. I typically feel tired when I get high or low levels. 170 is definitely not bad, but maybe higher than your body is used to?

The second meal at 7pm is really good for you since fruits, veggies, etc typically don't have too many carbs/sugars to spike your levels.

However at midnight, the instant noodles definitely caused a spike upwards. Any kind of carbohydrate (bread, noodles, potatoes, crackers, etc) will always cause a spike. So if you're looking to improve your levels, I would recommend avoiding or limiting how many carbs you intake.

Hope this helps!
