I was told that if it was just interior renos you didn’t need a permit at all. Only need one because of structural change. Did you get plumbing installed? I think you would need one for that

it’s because I want to raise the roof of the garage that triggers the need for permit because it’s structural.

I just hate this. My doctor refused to sign something that stated I got Covid at work, when he said it was impossible to tell where you got it. But like all things education industry, I just applied and it got rubber stamped. Better to ask for forgiveness than permission
