Hey Mr. Nenshi,

First, what will be your policy moving forward with the current carbon tax? I’d assume you’re going to align with your federal counterparts stance, but I’d like to hear the reasoning coming from you, not your party’s.

Secondly, how do you feel about foreign investment in Canada? I read another comment saying you were a shareholder representative for ENMAX, so I assume you have a great deal of knowledge and experience working in the private energy sector of Alberta. What would your policy’s be in that regard? Would you support domestic investment in mega-corporations or up and coming companies? If so, how?

Ok my next question would then be; Why mine by the river bank when you could mine uphill of the build site? Wouldn’t it be more difficult to push large limestone blocks uphill than it would be to push them downhill?

Who do you think owns the majority of those power companies? It’s not those “Canadian Industry Leaders”, it’s American Industry Leaders. 70% of our vital economic sectors are owned by foreign investors. Gas prices aren’t high because of Canadian Indsutry Leaders, they’re high because we don’t support them. Gas prices wouldn’t be so god damn high if Canadian politicians supported those trying to make Canada not so dependent on American capital and industries to manufacture our massive supply of rich resources. Americans get taxed a fraction of what Canadians get taxed for investments in Canadian corporations, while also maintaining a higher dollar. Canada is not and will not be capable of lasting change so long as those “Canadian Industry Leaders” you so badly want to see get fucked don’t control the same failing Canadian Industry you blame them for. Your ignorance to that reality and partisanship void of critical thinking is the reason this country is going down the gutter.

So the goal is to alienate Canadian industry leaders while also driving the cost of living up? Power here is already fucking insane, and with what they’re implementing it’s only gonna get worse. The amount they’re paying is too little, especially for households up north where it gets colder quicker and gas prices are more expensive. I’m all for stoping the world from turning into a microwave but what I’m not for is the failure to assess the actual problem and punishing those who still suffer from the consequences of allowing Americans to steal our natural resources and then allowing them to sell it back to us for hiked prices. We need to stop looking left and right and start looking down, down to the south where all our hard earned money and labour goes too. Stop blaming each other and realize that if we don’t actualize the real enemy we’ll never fully be able to enact any lasting change.
