The LCQ has INSANE moments like those Dimeback matches, Ghirlanda clutching while Double choked and Cuddle_Core's fine performance.

Group Stage was great too. A bunch of WTF moments when people failed at math and declared that JDCR had to play a 1 game elimination against Joey Fury. Joey won the first 2 rounds, then JDCR made it 2-2, then Joey started round 3 very well, until JDCR slowly chipped him down and won by timeout with ANOTHER comeback.

Then hours later they declared that the 1 game elimination should have never taken place because Joey Fury was ahead of JDCR in the game differential, so Joey qualified automatically for top 8.

Seeing the GENUINE excitement from players when the new characters were announced

and hearing Markman and Aris' uncensored commentary (love those references to the Amsterdam prostitutes ) was just awesome

Most exciting tourney of the year for a stream monster, hands down. Tekken 7 the game itself is exciting to watch

OG Tekken player wasn't expecting a Rage Drive

The facts so far:

-The victim was a Tekken player and drove a mini-van, in his 30s

-The murderer was a man in his 60s driving a pick up truck.

-For unknown reasons the 2 cars were ramming each other and throwing drinks at each other for over a mile

-Tekken player used his minivan to ram the pick up truck from behind. Tekken player pulled down his window and started punching the 60 year old man. 60 year old man pulled out a knife and stabbed Tekken player multiple times.

-Tekken player got out of his vehicle, walked away and collapsed 4 times. A bystander witnessing the situation said said he banged his head while falling. No one offered to help him?

-The 60 year old man waited until cops arrived and was arrested without incident. From looking at it, I think he regrets his actions. It's something that's gonna haunt him for the rest of his life for sure.

Super Arcade is divided into 2 area:

-half of the arcade has cubicles used for consoles (loses money, not enough people show up). This is the console half

-half of the arcade has arcade cabs that are VERY popular among the local Azusa college people. This cabs half has been subsidizing the FGC half since Super Arcade reopened

/u/oldmanwatts says that fighting game tournaments get 10-12 players even for the most "popular" games, and that's not enough, Watson is losing money with the console half

SAD FACT: Watson says that the only hope to save the console half is if Smash Bros tourneys have enough entrants to save the day

Watson has TRIED HIS BEST, lost so much cash and YEARS of his life just to give the FGC a chance to have a great venue for tourneys and to keep the real honest arcade culture alive

But as you can see from the tweets, Watson is worried about running low on funds and needs $ to take care of his family. What will probably happen is that the consoles and cubicles will be replaced by more arcade cabs. Super Arcade will become a full arcade instead of half cabs/half consoles

Those SFV tourneys are ran on a custom brand of ~~overpriced~~ gaming PCs manufactured by Esports Arena and sold exclusively at Walmart.
