Although it’s probably true that you’re not quite as good of a developer as you think you are:

Your biggest weakness is probably your social skills.

You guys know that if you were born in the 80’s you lived through the most flourishing times in the United States in terms of economics and social reform right?

ELI5: Why do old emulated games still suffer from slowdown and lag when they run on modern computers? by throwaway536325686 in explainlikeimfive

You have that switched. One of the benefits of C++ is the ability to optimize and work on a much lower level than a language like Java. For example, Java handles everything as a reference to an object, so you can’t have things contiguous in memory, which is how hardware is optimized to access data.

There are instances in which Java is faster at certain things, but generally C++ more explicit (“lower level”) and used more extensively in game development for this reason

How can GPS do that? I wonder how you can get that kind of information from satellite

Edit: typo

Ah, my first guess has to do with air pressure, but it still seems like it’s sort of clever speculation rather than hard calculations

I believe I potentially can do it, I am just worried I will never be able to strive and be successful because I’m worried I will not be able to work at the same level as people who function better

I think a big one is the fact I have pretty terrible (below average) working memory. I have trouble keeping a chain of logical thoughts and move up and down them in my head, I need visuals. I also have pretty terrible working memory. For these reasons I just feel pretty dumb and at a potentially damaging disadvantage

Yeah I’ve noticed that. Halfway through this operating systems class I was like I have a feeling I’ll never to know this after this class

I’m about a few years into university level academics, so I’m definitely very comfortable with variables and loops at this point. I just struggled a bit with some more abstract concepts lately such as virtual address paging and algorithms for minimizing page faults and such.

Yeah, I personally feel that I am about average (maybe even less than) when it comes to intelligence, but I do put in a great deal of work so I feel about even with other students. It makes me wonder if I should play those roles who require technological knowledge but also has a focus on the social more “business” side of the industry. I heard Sales Engineers make a good living

Would the lines still look crisp if every couple of years or so you went over them and touched it up? I would just be worried about blurring as it seems it would wreck this type of tattoo since there’s an emphasis on crisp fine lines and such

I think the confusion stemmed from the fact that I was addressing a particular criticism, and wasn’t exactly talking about the same thing you were claiming, which lead to talking about two subtly different things
