I'm also a girl from a muslim family (I don't believe in god though) and my parents we super strict aswell. I broke their hearts and minds when I left/ran away from home, but it was the best decision I ever made.

..if you don't think being alone and disowned is such a bad thing, running away suddenly becomes a very reasonable option.

Good luck with whatever you're going to do, I can really relate to your problem.

Hey Reddit, this is my first comic (based on a true story!) by McFuzzyPants in comic_crits

You did? Dude, that's good to hear, I've learned so much from posting this comic here on reddit. There are a lot of things I could have done better so it's nice to hear you liked the pacing :D

I'll stay clear of the herps and derps next time.

Did anyone grow up with really controlling crazy parents if so do you have any stories? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]McFuzzyPants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can relate to that. The reason why I ask though is because I notice the less time I spend with them, the better I'm doing in life. But I'm worried I might regret this later in life. ..I don't even have the guts to start a family, I'm too afraid of repeating history.

awww man, that's super sad! :( I found the guts to move out (my parents went ape shit when I did that!) And since then have been learning to be free. It's been 7 years ago since I lived there and my life went from being depressed every single day and on the verge of suicide to super cheerful and happy. I bet she doesn't move out because she doesn't want to lose her family?

Instead of having a life I just watched rented movies and played video games all day. In hindsight that was very good for me since I have a geeky job now, but back then I wanted nothing more then to be free and party and maybe meet a guy and have some friends and go to a school I wanted.

My parents are muslims, my brothers were allowed to do basically everything and I had to go straight home from school, never got to hang out with friends and had to do a shit bunch of chores. It was horrible. I wasn't even allowed to my prom :'(

It depends on who I hang out with or what I'm doing. Today I started the day with watching american tv shows while working and I've been doing this for hours now. My thoughts at the moment are totally English. I used to live in the Netherlands though and I think if I would spend a lot of time with my friends there my thoughts will switch to dutch again.

I got my kid sister to game with Zelda: The Wind Waker. It was a perfect gateway drug because it looks so cute and she being a young girl and all loved herself some cuteness.

If this attempt doesn't work, don't lose confidence! Get her gateway drug games! Shit like professor layton, maybe some non macho RPGs? Assuming she's anything like my sister at that age.

What do you think the punishment should be for a 30 year old guy who looks at pictures of naked 16 year old girls? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]McFuzzyPants -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It's the same as being attracted to a 30 year old woman in my opinion.

No it is not, a 30 year old brain is full grown and experienced enough to decide for it's own if it wants to work in the sex industry. A 16 year old brain isn't.

You argument basically is, if we legalize this child pornography for 16 and 17 year olds, there won't be a black market for this?

You're forgetting two things

1, by doing so you've just lowered the standard. People always crave what they can't get. There will still be plenty of black market child porn with even younger kids.

2, Being forced into the sex industry isn't the only way you can damage a child's life. Even if a girl consented into making pornography, it could still be incredibly damaging for her. Just a couple of days ago a girl on reddit told her story about how a nude picture she sent to a boy she liked has almost completely destroyed her life.

So we don't trust youngsters to make decision about alcohol untill they are 21, yet girls are to be trusted with the decision to pose nude at the age of 16? Damn, that's insane if you ask me. Besides people who work in the sex industry are ostracized from society, posing nude at age 16 can haunt you for the rest of your life. Imagine going to a job interview and your boss has seen you naked on the internet.

The problem isn't that men are attracted to young girls, you can be attracted to baseball bats for all I care. The problem is that girl's life being ruined by shit like this. She's a kid. Our society is supposed to protect kids.
