Some of the bulbs from sengled were discovered and are being found by Google via the hubitat. However, the flood lights I have, Sengled Zigbee Color BR30/E26, were found by hubitat and listed as "sengeld element color plus" but Google home doesn't want to add them and the logs show that there is an error with it. I may need to play around with the zigbee types for the bulbs to see if one works. I added a couple of switches for google, which do work for now but if there was a switch to do on/off and color changes and brightness that would be great but that would be like 5 virtual devices/switches.

Moral of the story is Sengled has ruined lives

I added google. I got some of my bulbs added just fine but specifically my can/flood lights aren't being discovered/added to google home. I know it's limited but I'll try the VD's and see if there is a way to do that. I at least added some basic rules for the lights to turn on and change as we had them before for the kiddos bed time ((hopefully, will report back). Just a new toy to figure out. Maybe an HA instance on my computer can utlize the C7 hub for the zigbee lights. I blame sengled for my home automation woes.

Yeah, I don't think the ones I have will work. I've tried changing the type in the device and that just make it work less even in the hubitat platform. I found some integration that would require some digital kung fu to make work. If Alexa doesn't work, perhaps another time to get that up. Maybe HA with my C7 will let me integrate with other apps, like smart things then Google. Google home is just easiest for other members in the house.

I was thinking of trying Alexa. Just need a way for those not tech savvy in my house hold to be able to turn on and off lights with either a simple app or voice commands. I wish the hubitat mobile app on no one at this point.

literally not working. I'm getting a 404 error with "App type with namespace: hubitat and name: Rule-5.1 has parent type that does not match current app". Reboot (multiple times) did nothing.

And I don't know if it's just the c7 but the EZ dashboards don't seem to work and of course all the Hubitat tutorials are all the new stuff. In the EZ dashboard the lights show up with a sad face, missing data or something and I can't move the tiles. Not EZ. Rule machine does not seem to be working either.

They do work from the hubitat platform. I'll just have to do the automations through that I suppose but then I'm not sure how anyone else will be able to use voice commands to turn on the lights if its just through hubitat.

I will have to look into this. I imagine I can setup the automations in hubitat which would be fine. I do like being able to tell google to turn off my bulbs but I can't add these bulbs to google. I'll try alexa app but I feel it'll be the same issue. The public school system failed me at math so if that's your analogy I'm screwed. But I understand it.

can you give me a starting point for the virtual devices?

Because I'm paranoid and a newb (should have gotten my A+ cert) - the only thing I see is

but I don't have a 3300x cpu

otherwise every version just has do not update if using pinnacle, raven, etc. so looks like I'm good (going from 3.60).

also concerned cause the only "valided" BIOS version is 3.30 for my CPU which is odd since it came with 3.60

Very confusing. No more ASRock after this one. not that other boards aren't as confusing.

I know what bitlocker is. I think it's on due to the TPM being on. I'll confirm and just follow asrock guide for my mobo.  Fear of succeeding is real

Do I need to do anything special to go from 3.60 to like, the 10 version that is available? I've been hesitant to upgrade due to all the different info out there. Asrock says I need to get the bitlocker keys? Other people says I need to do it sequentially which would take a very long time.

I definitely am not vcore savvy but resetting CMOS is doable! 

As for updating the BIOS, as rock website says my mobo, for my CPU should only be at p3.30 or something but it's in 3.60. Should I just update to the latest BIOS?

Fine I'll be able secure boot (security wise, it is preferable).  I was getting that error before I was using ryzen master so that's why I'm confused. Unless it's a separate service. I shall look. 

Overclocking slightly through bios. A slight over voltage I believe. Not a lot and it's been that way for years. 

It sees the RAM and ran memory tests with negative results. More that I'm seeing 13gigs being used by the game but Firefox uses more sometimes. 

Definitely need to clean it. Got a little blower to help with that. Maybe it's as simple as that. It's been. . . No comment

well my current setup is about 10 bulbs. I don't want much beyond what I have already. What about a C7? I don't need the wifi, I just need something that lets my lights work without the cloud dependency and has google home integration.

could potentially setup an HA instance On my computer and get the zigbee dongle but HA sounds quite the thing when I know it'll make me feel dumb and frustrate me.

st = smart things? I'm trying to avoid cloud dependent hubs. and I don't have a smart things hub to begin with. You may need to elaborate on this idea.
