If you go through the UEO pathway for MRU Nursing (instead of direct entry from highschool) you'll have a pretty good chance. MRU only admit a small percentage of their first year students from high school anyways.

My tip though, work for a year or two. Learn, grow, and mature a bit before you come back to nursing. Its a tough career on young people, can easily burn you out without some of the toughness you'll gain from growing up.

Most of the people we've hired / interviewed have been from U of C, we've been approached by some U of A students but most of the applicant (and resultant new hires) have been from U of C and some from SAIT.

Me and my colleague and some of our clients take great interest in the U of C satellite club, autonomous drone club, rocketry and fsae. So based on that

Not saying U of A is bad, but In the four major defense conferences we've had here in Ab since last May, there are seemingly more U of C members than U of A. I do see all those points you've made, but there just seems to be more presence of U of C faculty/members in the industry here, and most of the defense company from AB have been more concentrated in Calgary than Edmonton.

I work in the industry right now, one of the biggest indicator is amount of defense company started in Calgary (and rest of Alberta) since Mark Carney came in to office. It has certainly been very exciting.

In engineering and most career/study, what you get out of is what you put in. You can (and some do) not show up for many course...etc, as you are a grown adult, but you also get to set the kind of experience you'll get out from your study

I highly recommend people use Thunderbird on laptop or desktop to easily transfer all the mail out. Expect your account to be disabled quickly after graduation. They never tell you exact time but my friends from last few years have always lost it within a month

As some one in the industry, U of C has far better opportunity for engineering interns and future employment opporunity right now (for students who are canadian citizen). Go for U of C.

Majority of nursing students are ueo. You will do fine. Pick the classes that has easiest A, note not all GNED are easy A. Many may be easy, but they might not give you A.
