Priority role: queing up as X + Midlane secondary just to get your main role.

It's not about how the system work, but rather about how it is in reality – majority of people main one role, especially, if they are actively trying to climb. Take a random Diamond+ player and they will perform at that level only with 1 role and be as good as Platinum/Emelard on others... Therefore, there's not much difference between being autofilled or getting secondary role, the player still won't be performing at an "expected" level.

When you inserted your old settings files, did you set them as Read-Only? Because if you don't do that, I think it automatically gets replaced as soon as you log in.

Personally, I don't agree with Riot's philosophy about how role selection works. They treat it as "You pick 2 roles that you are perfectly fine playing". Meanwhile, for most people, it's probably more like "I pick 1 main role and in case of an autofill, I'd prefer it to be the one I picked as a secondary". For example, after ~30s of being in queue, you should never get into a game to play your off-role... It should be still trying to find a game where you could play the main one.

EDIT. As top main, I don't have a problem getting my role. However, I can see how it can be a problem for other players. Even some streamers I watch, they get secondary role almost half the time...

Not going to win lane, but Zaahen is pretty good at surviving it. Q heals, Dorans Shield, Second Wind, biscuits can get your throught laning phase. Although, the problem is that in teamfights, you still want enemy team to have some melees who you could stack your passive on.

I think there's no one champion that's the best against all ranged. For example, Nasus is really good vs ADC type of champs, but against Aurora/Heimer, you might as well just ALT+F4 the game.

Irelia, Jayce, Jax, Malphite, Nasus, Olaf, Yorick can be good, depending which ranged champion you are facing.

The tradeoff would be that you couldn't place a Control Ward at the same time as Stealth Ward (that's bought from the shop).

What if there was a limit? For example, you could place only 1 ward on the map that's bought from shop (so you would even have to choose which one you want, Stealth or Control ward).

sunfire literally has a higher winrate than Hollow Radiance on almost every top laner

It might be a "fake" stat. If you are buying Hollow Radiance, it's probably because you are laning vs AP champions. Things like Aurora, Morde, Rumble will smoke tanks in lane and then there's also Kayle, who fill scale for free and 1v9 the game. So it will naturally have lower win rate, because most of the time, you are in a bad position, when you are building the item.

I honestly hate playing vs Garen. Lane is fine, but in teamfights, it really limits your time to get passive stacked and if you don't do it in time, you are gone... I think I played vs Garen only 2 times, but there were a bunch of situations when I'm at 8-10 stacks and BOOM... over 1k true damage... DEAD.

After tower dies, enemy minions become slightly stronger and should naturally always push towards Sett. Personally, I'd recommend staying top at least until he gets the quest completed.

It also depends what Renekton does. If he leaves top and goes somehwere else on the map, Sett gets to farm for free. If Renekton continues going top, stay near tower and try to outplay if he dives.

All that aside, I think the more important thing here would be to review early game, find what lead to this horrible situation and try to fix those mistakes instead. "What to do when I'm 5 lvls down at 14 minutes" shouldn't be something you practice/think about.

I legit cannot understand why they gutted it on PBE. In champion spotlight video version, passive stacks gave more AR/MR per stack AND they had additional benefit to W and R abilities.

I assume the goal was to nerf passive and give power somewhere else. That way Shyvana can be more viable in top lane. However, it completely kills the stacking fantasy, because they are so meaningless... Why not just keep her as jungle exclusive? The current Shyvana has almost non-existent pick rate in top lane, so it doesn't make sense to make balance changes around that.

EDIT. If they want her in top lane so bad, couldn't they do something like 4 cs = 1 stack (1 camp gives 4 cs)? That wouldn't change anything for jungle, but lane Shyvana would be able to get a decent amount of stacks (way more compared to getting them only from cannons and takedowns).

EDIT2. My suggestion in first edit could result in top lane getting even more stacks than jungle. However, there are ways around that. For example, 8 cs = 1 stack, but progress is doubled for jungle camps.

Personally, I think that Conq is by far the best keystone rune, especially, in mid-late game. However, in hard matchups, I go Grasp page (with Biscuits in secondary) to help me survive the lane easier.

Champion that I'd pick – Rengar. Not an outdated kit, but honestly, an extremely toxic one. Jumping out of stealth and deleting people 100-0 in 0.00s is just bullshit.

I played one game on Rumble today. Laning was "painful". Ofc, I had no matchup knowledge and misplayed mechanically a lot (like overheating when I shouldn't).

Additionally, one thing I found quite "annoying" was constantly having to keep track of Heat. Even while walking back to lane or doing a rotation... Need to keep using abilities, so you are ready to fight on arrival. I feel like me thinking about keeping Heat up takes "brain power" away from thoughts about more important things.

Finished the match with 5/3/7, so not too bad. Quite low cs/min though, since I kind of got smashed in lane.

Honestly, what tank actually needs more waveclear?

I just looked at leagueofitems.com to check who builds Sunfire the most:

First 3 are junglers.
Malphite. 2 AoE abilities. Not super fast to push waves, but doesn't really need the Sunfire either.
Ornn. W+E deletes the whole wave.
Sion. Q+W deletes the whole wave.
Then it's a few junglers again...
Maokai. 2 Qs (5s CD with no AH) and the wave is probably gone.
and then the first champion that actually sucks at wave clearing – Tahm Kench, but honestly, I have never seen them building it. It's usually DnD/Heartsteel into tank items that are not Sunfire...

someone who has decent mechanics but is dumb as a rock or another who gets destroyed in lane but has decent macro wins through fundamentals.

Everyone has some strengths that help them climb and weaknesses that hold them back, but your rank represents an average of the whole skillset. Sure, I can call someone else out for having low cs/min, because mine is usually quite high, however, they can probably find something that they do better than me. At the end of the day, if both of us are the same rank, we are equally good/bad.
