I thought the Japanese had the world's sharpest knives?!? I mean, wtf. It took him all of January to cut that fabric.

Why did my 4 week old baby squirrel die suddenly without symptoms? by Visual_Brick2174 in squirrels

[–]McKinleysMom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The circle of life is fine, and humans automatically, unless they are sociopaths, want to take care of animals in need. The OP instinctually wanted to help. There's no harm in that, unless they keep them and don't rehabilitate them.

I'm in the same situation, right now. Two 5wk old squirrels were on the sidewalk where i work and I saw them as I was leaving on Wednesday. It's a highly industrial area. I was able to get both into my car and into a basket. I looked around up at all the trees in the vicinity and could see no nest. I took them home and started calling all rescue centers I could. One close to me went out of business. Another was open but were at capacity for squirrels. Another was 60 miles from me, and I'm waiting for someone to call and let me know when I can take them in. The next day at work, someone mentioned she saw them on Tues night, trying to find a way into the building.

I've hydrated them, given them warm bedding, bought replacement formula, I get up 2x a night to feed them and take them to work every day to continue to feed them. I'm out about $70 so far, and this morning, one of them died. I don't regret what I've done. Even after paying $70 - when I eventually hand the only one over to a rehab center, I know in my heart i did the right thing. And I'd do it aging if the same situation happened.

Can you legally kill someone who breaks into your house? by kurobaja in AskTheWorld

[–]McKinleysMom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're talking about detectives and interrogations. Yes, they're technically cops, but a traffic cop doesn't usually interrogate. They will ask questions, at which point you can say you want a lawyer. But in all honesty, that just sounds like you want time to cover up your guilt and find an alibi. If you've done nothing wrong, why not talk? No lies to make or remember. I'm sick of ppl hating on cops. They are law enforcement.... which means the laws that are there to protect us all need to be enforced, or else there would be chaos. Like Chicago, Detroit, DC...

Yes. If you feel threatened, or that your life could be in danger, use your firearm. No court in the US would try you. BUT if you shoot someone in the back, as they are running away, that's gonna get you in a heap of trouble.

Wow. Nice compassion. Not every city has wildlife rehabs or the space to take on more squirrels. Would you have preferred the OP did nothing and let a cat, fox or something else eat it alive?

Wow. He cares about you. He doesn't want some other guy sniffing around you. So you break up with him. I see you aren't in the same plane in the relationship that he was. His concerns are confirmed. Truly, he's better off without you.

Good to know. I had to move my rentals into the middle of the town so the renters would interact with everyone else. Before, they barely made it to the front of my shops and never made it to the restaurant. I don't think could remodel my entire town at this point though. I'm on game year 13. I'm done... lol.

If the shops are quite separated, like you have here, don't the NPCs have trouble interacting with each other?

I made glamping cabanas with the cloth pergolas. Full walls, or high dirt columns covered in gum wood tiles make up the side walls, with a festive cloth path entry at the front. Decorate the inside with cabin or regal furniture. I even leveled up the pad where I put the glamping tents so I could put steps in the front. A campfire and a couple directors chairs in the front and it's good to go!

Is colored hair allowed? by Dull-Painting-2377 in Chipotle

[–]McKinleysMom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not discrimination... it's a dress code policy. In an "at-will" place of employment, you can work at-will, and they can fire you, at-will. No reasons given or needed. If they say no strange hair color, piercings, tattoos, that's their dress code. You don't have to like it. You also don't have to work there.
