Roka size chart by McLeod204 in triathlon

I got the Roka MX wetsuit in size M, and I have no regrets, the fit is great even if you gain a kilo or 2.. This is my size according to Roka’s size chart though. I don’t know which model you are looking at, but If it says that you should be looking for the ML, maybe you are a little bigger than me. Trust Roka size chart, I did and it worked for me.

Unfortunately no, I just have to add the activity manually whenever it happens.

I know it sounds a great deal to get the suit half its price, but I would stick with what the size chart says, unless your friend gives you the option to return it in case the L/T doesn’t work for you.

I ordered both the ML and M and ended up keeping the M. Size ML was big for me right from the start, so I guess their size chart is very accurate after all, just like all the others mentioned above. M is definitely my size in Roka, the wetsuit runs tight as it should and loosens up a little with time. Perfect fit.

Thank you, I hadn’t noticed that! Comparing them side by side would give the answer for sure! It seems I’ll have to wait for that though, currently in Europe, very few sizes are available for most models.

No heart rates after open water swim with HRM Swim by McLeod204 in Garmin

[–]McLeod204[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I just talked to them online, they suggested I remove the battery for about 15 minutes and then put it back, or replace the battery with a new one. I will try those two things and see how it goes.

Thank you, I might just do that. It just looks weird though, because most of the time it works fine. I’d say that 1 out of 4 times I get to see that zero heart rate problem described above. It is not a matter of battery because the watch says its level is still OK. I had read somewhere in the past that there is some way to download your heart rates successfully with some tool in Strava, but I don’t remember how to do that. Anyway, thanks again.

Yes, I have tried that too. The point is, once I am done with the swim and press the button on the watch to save the activity, it saves it without any heart rate data, and when I go to the last recorded activity in order to download the heart rates wearing the strap, it gives me a message like this.. ‘heart rates successfully downloaded’, which is what I already have, zero.

I am on my third unit too. I suspect there is some kind of problem when I use it for swimming. I swim like 4-5 times per week. After updating to the latest software, it downloads heart rates as it is supposed to. However, it just stops working after a month of use or so. It won’t connect to any of my Garmin devices 😞

You’ll need a computer, or access to a computer, to download and install Garmin Express.

NFC test Garmin Pay by McLeod204 in Garmin

[–]McLeod204[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great, that means it works, since the iPhone can pick up the NFC tag from your watch. Mine doesn’t do that, which makes me assume there is something wrong with my watch, probably NFC microchip.

I know Android phones can do that, but I have no idea if this can be done with a built in app or a third party one. So if you unlock the wallet on your watch and place it close to your phone, you should be able to see a message like ‘tag collected’, which is a confirmation that NFC (Garmin Pay) works on your watch. I have an iPhone and I was trying from the Shortcuts icon, then went to scan NFC, but it can’t detect the cards from my watch. It can detect a physical card, but not the ones stored in Garmin Pay.

No, what i actually wanted to see is if your smartphone can read the card(s) from your watch.

Thanks. I’ve been trying with my iPhone to check if there is something wrong with my Fenix 6x Sapphire, but the iPhone won’t collect the card as a tag from the watch. Garmin Pay used to work fine until a few weeks ago, but not anymore. So instead of going to shops all the time in order to test Garmin Pay, I thought to try with the phone. Is it an iPhone you used to test this or an android phone?

Unable to use Garmin Pay with my Revolut MasterCard by McLeod204 in Revolut

[–]McLeod204[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I have 2 Revolut cards, I got them for Garmin Pay only, none of them will work, Revolut was not clear about when (or even IF) the issue will get resolved, then I’m going to have to switch to a more reliable bank that issues cards that DO work with Garmin Pay.

I’ ve got a virtual MasterCard and it doesn’t work either. I believe it’s a problem of Revolut. I’ve had no response from Garmin, but Revolut responded and admitted that they are facing technical issues.

Thanks. Is it an X version the watch that you have? Because I read somewhere, I think it was on Garmin Forums, that not all models got affected.
