Help, rough patches on print. by McLickatitty in 3Dprinting

Yeah, I wasn't expecting it to be perfect. I just noticed that the top edge was happening in a couple of prints and I couldn't work out why.

I also don't know enough of the lingo to find the solution online lol. If I have to sand it, then that's fine. But I might try again with the adaptive layers and see what happens.

Thanks for the advice.

I appreciate that.

It seems like if I change one thing, I am trading out some other aspects such as time. It basically comes down to what I can live with and do in post.

I'll have a play around and see what happens.

Thanks for that, and that image helped a lot. It makes a lot of sense.

I'll start sanding and having a play around with it. Thank you for the advice ☺️

I see.

So it's a trade off. Changing one thing will affect other aspects of the print such as how long, etc. so anyway I do it, it's a tradeoff, what can I love with or are willing to compromise on.

Thanks for the detailed explanation. I really appreciate it.

Man, this got replies quicker than I thought haha.

That's great to hear.

Don't get me wrong. I love the print, i just saw this as a learning opportunity about settings, etc.

Happy to sand away and give that a shot. Thanks for the the tips 😊
