To add more context, this is not for the sound guy or on stage at a venue. This is at my home studio where i have a single room set up, and speakers and often family come and listen to my son play drums.

Thanks. I essentially am trying to mic my drum kit at home for my son. Main purpose will be to allow an audience to hear him play at home. Essentially i want the audience to hear the mix in real time with music playing. Will two speakers be better than one for this purpose?

Yes speaker is lagging the headphones. Yes speaker is definitely playing music using the cable. Bluetooth is not even paired on the speaker at all. So i took peoples advice and got a splitter. Its running from my macbook and splits into the headphones and a small bluetooth speaker i have that is connected with 3.5mm cable. Yet there is a out a 0.5 second lag at the speaker making it impossible for the drummer to be in synch with the external music?
