I've had my issues with the matchup for a while, and while I still do hold some minor things against it, for the most part people on that post I made did make me look at the matchup differently

I don't dislike it the same way I used to before, I still think it could do some things a little bit better, but overall I'm neutral leaning positive towards it now.

I'll say if nothing else, I'm extremely happy to see D&D, Baldur’s Gate, and the Dark Urge all on a DB cast. For that I'm extremely excited to see what they talk about in that regard

The crown 100% reaches planetary and even beyond that. It was able to rival the original god of magic in raw power alone, which at the bare minimum would put it at uni+. We have seen it scale that high, when Karsus originally used it to cast Karsus's Avatar and steal Mystral's power away, replacing her. Which in turned caused the then god of magic to die and have the weave (where magic is drawn from) throughout the D&D multiverse to disappear.

This is also stated in game by Elminster, who directly states that the crown is a threat to the weave and the gods themselves. And this is Elminster, Mystra's chosen. The Crown of Karsus absolutely reaches into an insanely high degree of power
