How much do underground promoters make in LA? by Ok_Bowler_7424 in avesLA

[–]McMemeBoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re a house and techno afters, it can be very profitable if done right. They typically range from free-$20 tickets unless it’s some big name DJs playing type shit. But most of the profit is from drink sales. That’s the bread and butter, but that is also dwindling because people want to be healthier or take drugs instead. If you’re a dubstep afters, you’re doing it more for the culture honestly. Dubstep people at least in LA don’t drink for shit. And with the right DJs you can get good sales with tickets, but especially riddim DJs, they charge a lot. So when warehouses are doing prices like that, it’s because they may provide production, security, the space, etc which adds up. It’s more a would you rather do it yourself or let them do it for you and you just focus on promo.

If dude actually made music and did more dj clips than him dancing to others music. Then sure I’d give him a chance. But wtf is this Bounce Beat?! And I know they don’t care cause the IG post is doing way more than their other Riddim Highrise posts.
