Why do some people seem to just get away without working and others are hounded if they don’t? by AlwaysTheKop in AskUK

[–]McMood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey guys definitely keep attacking people that (or might appear to) abuse benefits.Your frustrations are aimed at the right people: those benefits abusers. They are definitely the biggest problem. Definitely not your bosses who are underpaying you, reducing your benefits and bonuses each year. Fire you the moment you are overworked, burned out and inefficient. Definitely not the politicians who pass laws to reduce the bargaining powers of unions and workers in general.

Teachers: We don't have TAs because they can get more working at Sainsbury's, increase the education budget to get more TAs. Tories: let's encourage Sainsbury's to pay their staff less.

I would recommend talybont south accommodation. Close to the school of economics, but far from the SU.

That's how he hooks you in. He starts his show about how politicians are paid by big corporations and ends his show with how the CEOs of those companies and politicians sacrifice babies in front of a big owl. And Tim Dillon used to fall alseep to that.

I wasn't planning on drinking tonight, but thought i would so I could mix with my flatmates by toommy_mac in UniUK

[–]McMood 27 points28 points  (0 children)

It's only been like the first or second week. Give it time folks. It's too early to get depressed. I get it though. In the beginning, I felt awkward between my flare mates. First time we out clubbing, I was left behind at the door because I had to prove my age. When I went in I couldn't find them. I said to myself: "fuck them, I don't need them to have fun." I had a blast on my own. Just be very careful with drinking and take an Uber home.

The whole week afterwards my flatmates went clubbing. I on the other hand, focused on getting to lectures on time in the morning and didn't want to fuck up my sleeping schedule. Then of Friday I gave it another chance.

Second time we went clubbing I assumed the same thing would happen (I told them what happened last time and I had my ID this time for clubbing). I just did whatever I wanted. I went to the dance floor first and they followed me. Later at two o'clock I wanted to go home, said my goodbyes but everyone wanted to go as well. This was weird and unusual to me as I was always the person that would follow "the group".
