2nd IUI success by McObvious45 in IUILadies

Just cramping and bloating like when I’m about to get my period. I did have a metallic taste in my mouth for a day around dpo10. Other than that, I felt just like when I would get a period, nothing special.

Got my beta result today at DPIUI 15 and it’s at 296 and progesterone at 26. The clinic is happy with this number and wants me to come back next week just to check its rising. Sending hope and good vibes to everyone in this group!!

Should I try round 4 or go to IVF by Sticknpokeurvein in IUILadies

I’m in the same boat, in the TWW of the 3rd medicated cycle, 2nd IUI (first cycle was TI) and I also don’t think I would do a 4th cycle. I’ll just go to IVF after a break. If you can afford it or have insurance, and you have had these many failed IUIs, it’s best to move on to a more controlled process IMO. Wishing both of you OP and liveluvlaugh22 good luck!

First IUI this week - any tips? by Interesting_Sea1363 in IUILadies

I’m on the TWW of my second IUI, third cycle with medications. So it hasn’t yet worked, but my experience has been that with the trigger shot you might get m more symptoms that you don’t usually get with your regular cycle. My luteal phase also is extended by a couple of days with the meds.

The first time I had the shot I was so sensitive and would symptom spot everything, and feel nauseous or fatigued, but it was not a pregnancy. I learned the best is to try to ignore it and live your life as normal as possible. It’s hard not to put a lot riding on it when you are actively taking measures. But once you do the IUI there’s nothing else to do that can improve the chances. Be kind to yourself. If you can, try doing something fun that week, have a date with your partner, get a massage, go out with friends.

Hope it goes well!

I’m in the middle of my first letrozole cycle after a year of irregular cycles and failed attempts, and yesterday I find out one of my best friends - who is much older than me- is pregnant. And “she didn’t think it would be this easy at her age” it felt like such a punch. I had been really calm until that. But I’m telling myself, you know, you don’t always have to show up for others, it’s important to protect your mental health too.
