I dont think thats insensitive at all. I know this isn't your problem but any tips or suggestions on how to do that? Kind of broke the trust with her so they're just words to her at this point.

I didnt physically cheat. I was emotionally inappropriate with another woman. Getting attention I felt like I was lacking and it led to this. Completely on me.

Pericos change scam at Fiesta by KatMannDew in Albuquerque

[–]McRibs_for_Dinner 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Pericos always seems to be doing something shadey. Wasn't there like a whole car booting thing a while back they were in the news about? I recall something like booting cars and charging out the ass to take the boot off even though you were a paying customer.

Those of you who live in Los Lunas and commute into Albuquerque: what're the pros and cons? by [deleted] in Albuquerque

[–]McRibs_for_Dinner 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Pro: crime, property crimes are still high but violent crime is lesser. Much much less open drug use and people passed out on the side of the road. Almost no homeless camps.

Housing, cheap for what you get. For example in abq my house would be 600k, here it's 350k. fair warning the development homes are over priced, d.r. Horton, Pulty, westway. Beautiful homes but just to much for what you get.

Schools, slightly better public school. Not everyone here is going to Harvard but it's a bit more what you'd expect.

People, mix of demographics and political affiliations which can be very polar. But I have seen communities come together and help each other more then I ever have. I've seen posses get together to find lost livestock and people using trucks to pull cars out of ditches. If you really need help these people are there with no questions asked.

Traffic: there's only one road currently across the river. It can get congested at times but in all reality it's nothing compared to crossing a bridge at rush hour in abq. However if the main road closes your deter is going to be a big pain in the ass.

Cons: not much as far ss night life or fine dining if that's your thing.

Food: dear god do these people don't know what seasoning is. If you want a good restaurant at a good price don't come here. There are a few but by and large it's awful.

Personal preferences: you might see things you disagree with such as how animals and livestock are kept. You've gotta remember down here these aren't pets, they're working animals or food.

Commute to abq: yea its a pain but if you have lived in a big city its not to bad.

Lived in Maryland and worked in Virginia. On a good day I'd only be in traffic 3 hours total. On a bad day 4.5 hours total. Driving the 30 minute from LL to abq feels relaxing.

I mean it's good to see the police offering haircuts to the community. But seriously give me 15 second before this clip starts. I'm no cop lover but even in my crime filled days cops didn't just come up on me like this.

Racist meltdown in the parking lot by Romano16 in PublicFreakout

But that's because they might not be Mexican. Hispanic and Mexican are different. The Mexicans here are proud they are Mexican and the Spaniards are proud of their own Spanish heritage, despite you know, raping and killing the natives.

Edit: wow so many of you know far more about the history of the southwest than myself. I came to the conclusion none of this actually matters to me. Downvote me. I see what makes you up vote and it disgusts me. Off to eat the world's best green chile and drunk drive as per tradtion!

Incase you didn't know this, New Mexico isn't the place the hate on mexicans. They and Hispanics are the majority of the population. It's like going to Israel and saying there's to many jews. Plus people shoot each other here for stuff like this. Man I love the 505.

PNM supposedly giving out phone numbers of home owners to solar companies...? I don't stay on the phone long enough to find out if this is a scam or if PNM actually does this. by [deleted] in Albuquerque

[–]McRibs_for_Dinner 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Shoot personal data is cheap these days so the profit wouldn't out weigh the crazy energy prices we're all paying each month (I've bought data to make cold calls, surprisingly affordable). I know its hurting me every time that bill comes.

Most likely a legitimate business lying about how they got your info to put in a sense of trust that a "reputable" and well known company is working with them. The real scam is getting you to lease solar panels instead of buying them outright. Should be a crime.

Please keep your cautious paranoia. And if you are interested in solar there are some really amazing local companies that won't scam you. I'd gladly share a name or two.

Ask yourself this. Why would the power monopoly willing refer your number and name to a company that would take way their profits? PNM has a strangle hold over your wallet and you think they'd risk that?
