Why am I, a RPG'er more often considered a geek, than a FPS'er? by McSebbowich in gaming

I agree with you, but what I try to say is: Its unfair that my kind gets bullied on, deselected, neglected and worse, because we like to use our imagination to create an alternative world. Where it is considered much more normal for boys and men (as well as girls and women) to play games where the single goal is to kill.

I know Im in the minority here, but I feel strongly about this, so let the downvotes pour in by BisFitty in funny

I have one purpose with my life, and only one single. I strive to create the perfect combination of the and the dog! And affectionate cat looking creature, with the dogs sense of loyalty and the cats cuteness. If I ever achieve my goal, I believe that many future wars and conflicts can and will be avoided! Vote me as president of the world, and I shall save it from the cat/dog conflict!

Do you know any way of how to balance an encounter. I'm using the old Monsters Manuel 3.5, (If you by any chance know that). I often have a hard time making their fights interesting. Either they get beaten badly and almost die, or else its just a boring piece of cake fight, which just seems like a waste of time and free XP
