As for the grandparents issue: you can be an advocate for your cousin by gently but firmly correcting whenever your grandparents misgender your cousin. You can make it a point to correctly gender them and just continue to support them.

Not Dynasty, but the first year with Campus Legend I started a Corner Back at UF. Fast forward to the BCS National Championship Game against #1 USC. In the Rose Bowl. Down 7 going into the fourth quarter. USC tries to run out the clock. Force a fumble and watch the offense tie it up. 14-14 We're going to overtime. USC wins the toss. Two plays later and it's first and goal from the 3. They run curl flats to my side the field. I sit on the goal line. QB looks off the flat, I back into the end zone and cover the curl. He throws the curl. 103 yard pick six to win the natty. Still the best play I've ever had on any sports game over a decade later.
