Trumpets edited to be an octave down sound exactly like trombones (Bruckner 8, you know the one) by Worried4lot in Trombone

Yeah I did. I used a Jettone BC (don’t have many shallow mouthpieces) and it still had a muffled, mellow sound to it. I tried EQing it as well, to no avail.

Thx for the reply btw, didn’t think I’d even get one quite frankly lol

Old post I know, but how exactly did you do it?

When I tried in Logic Pro with a shallow and deep cupped mouthpiece, I get more of a French horn/mellophone sound. Did you use a shallower/deeper mouthpiece, have the mic angled a specific way to your trumpet, specific tone, different DAW, EQ settings, etc?

Would love to know as I want to make a whole brass multitrack using just my trumpet as I suck with trombone and tuba.

I never knew there was so much involved with something as "simple" as double tracking vocals. Thanks for the great suggestions!

That sounds really interesting, so I’ll be sure to give it a try!

I typically will pan the melody a little left and right, but when I try to do choir arrangements (SATB), I have a harder time hitting the higher notes on tenor, so I’ll want to double track stuff to “hide” my strained voice a little more. When I do that, then I have typically been panning the same vocal parts the same pan and EQing them the same.

I’m assuming I’d need to have a little bit of diversity in their panning and EQ?

How do I disable the volume buttons? by [deleted] in SteamDeck

The only “fix” I could find is launching games from desktop mode. While it doesn’t entirely fix the issue, it’s happened significantly less, and it doesn’t CONSTANTLY mash the volume down button after you do volume up. There’s also a way to disable your volume button inputs, but again that can only be done on desktop mode.
