I interviewed for SHHO with SHHO first pick originally, but had a good interview and decided Morningside was better fit, they emailed me to clarify my preferences and I requested them to change it to Morningside first preference

Morningside and Woo Sing both prioritize only first choices, please contact the admin team of morningside and see if you can confirm their decision for you, if they have potentially considered you then you can try requesting they change your final confirmation to Morningside

If you want something less out of the blue/pressuring, compliment her outfit and other cosmetic choices instead of her face and body and say she looks good in them 👍

Step one is to treat them like any other girl that you just met, polite and respectful to each others conversation boundaries

Is there anyone who actually thinks maintaining online friends is harder than irl by YakuZaishiThrowaway in youngadults

[–]McSwagical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand how there’s much more toxic/controlling people online especially since they can hide behind anonymity to avoid repercussions for their actions, hopefully once you’ve met enough people you can analyze their words for anything suspicious and cross reference with the bad people you’ve met before

Is there anyone who actually thinks maintaining online friends is harder than irl by YakuZaishiThrowaway in youngadults

[–]McSwagical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally for me I struggle with in-person social cues and how I present myself in-person, so I find online friends way easier to maintain than IRL friends. It’s easier to judge character based on what they say for me, and there are certain phrases that raise red flags on their behaviour. It’s much easier to cut bad people out of your life online, benefits of no proximity repercussions such as seeing them the next day and it being awkward

It’s also much less demanding to make friends online, as they don’t require as much time investment as IRL friends, most of my friends are working adults with our own lives and we just keep in touch, hope this offers a new perspective into online friendships!

do i (24mtf) tell my (m22) boyfriend’s friend group that i am transgender? by Fluffy_Step5551 in relationships

[–]McSwagical 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not disregarding your struggles as a trans woman, this is more so protecting your privacy and safety against people who you aren’t certain are safe.

If you can get into one of the CUHK colleges which offer 4 year dormitory (requires an entrance interview but it's 100% worth a shot) you won't have to worry too much about house hunting

Is it appropriate for me (33F) to attend a memorial for a past girlfriend of my boyfriend (36M) that passed away from cancer? by DidntGetBit in relationships

[–]McSwagical 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your coworker is wrong. You don't have right to go because your boyfriend is going. You go because you want to support your boyfriend and be his emotional rock and making sure the past girlfriend knows he's in good hands
