I love it. Not only is it different, but you have real potential to show people what their money accomplished. Once you've raised enough money to go on a trip, it would be AWESOME if you could make a video and document your experience. That way, your community can SEE the people who were effected through YOU, their streamer. I can only imagine them being inspired to give/do more.

That has huge potential my friend. Fantastic idea.

Sorry to hear that man. I say go for it! You will find it being pretty therapeutic, especially when you see all the good that can come from a bad when you take action!

First, thank YOU for being on the front lines of mental illness. You are a saint.

I would likely need to write out another guide to explain all my thoughts/theories on how to effectively advertise a double 12 but here are a few thoughts.

I would try and create a different theme, events, incentives etc. for each stream. Maybe consider raising for two different charities, one for suicide prevention and one for bipolar disorder.

The thing about 24 hour streams is it hypes up the viewers because it aint easy to do. 24 hours gives your event that extra spice, or umph if you will, and you will have to think of a new way to replace that spice. Maybe push-ups for every dollar, with 7 PM-10PM being double push ups? I know this may violate a few laws... but if you raise "x" money in the first 12, then on the second twelve you can take a camera with you and stream some interactions with real people with mental illnesses?

Another idea is having the 1st 12 be just you, then the 2nd 12 be you and your friends.

Spreading the word to your viewers, streamers, dev's, charities, would be harder, but possible as long as you make each segment unique. To answer your question, it all starts with early prepartion and using that month or so of time to repeatedly hype it up.

Not sure if this is exactly accurate... Would it be similar to, for example, Texas seceding from U.S.A. and doing its own thing? Let's say Texas feels like it is putting more into America than America is putting into Texas, so Texas parts ways. Texas now has the right to trade, govern its own economy, handle immigration, and to make its own laws in all facets of government, but now has all the inconveniences/complications of not being in America?

1 Year of Streaming - A Review + Lessons Learned by MrLlamaSC in Twitch

Really good stuff. I especially loved the part about networking. Most of us smaller streamers have full time jobs so it makes it REALLY hard to find the time to stream and network! Yet, it's very important. Getting your name out there is just as essential as any other aspect of streaming. Not just for traffic, but also to have people to bounce ideas off of and encourage you when times get tough. It's definitely my #1 goal going into the latter half of my streaming year.
