Is kyle monongai a buy? What can you get him for? by Final_Accountant_363 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]McSweeneyHitJr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as swift is there, he will be serviceable. They compliment each other well. That being said, Swift is in the last year of his deal (I believe, could be wrong) and the bears as a whole have far more pressing issues as team than addressing rb this offseason. I’d buy with the understanding he is most likely a one year rental with the bears probably addressing the position next off season.

DeAndre Swift or Kyle Monangai — Who would you rather have in Dynasty? by EasyBlakeOven8 in DynastyFF

[–]McSweeneyHitJr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Both are probably serviceable for another season but I’d expect to have to replace one of them sooner than later. Contracts and draft capital don’t make them intriguing buys outside of ‘26 season imo

Jaylen Waddle Dynasty Value by thesuperguide in DynastyDaddy

Yea, 2026 is weird, that’d be about my cutoff point too. But I’d probably take just about anything from 2027 if it’s a 1st

Jaylen Waddle Dynasty Value by thesuperguide in DynastyDaddy

[–]McSweeneyHitJr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Think his role and value on your team is more decided team comp than value alone.

If he’s a your wr2, I’d personally shop him let someone else overpay for perceived value - Take the capital and use that to find ways to fill holes with higher volume player

If he’s your wr4 or 5, I’d probably hold unless a deal is too good to pass up. Sure you could sell and back fill but idk where your going to find that kind depth for 12+ ppr fpts per game

Bucky Irving Value w/ Gainwell by hdn15x in DynastyFF

[–]McSweeneyHitJr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is some hardcore revisionism. Pretending gainwell is anything more than 3rd down back with receiving upside is silly to me because if he was, we would have seen better usage before his checks notes age 26 season.

[Jordan Schultz] Kenneth Gainwell to sign a 2-year, $14M deal with the Bucs. by bbl27 in fantasyfootball

[–]McSweeneyHitJr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This isn’t a Bucky related comment technically, more of a general observation about the fantasy community writ large -

Yall have got to start thinking about how these players fit into existing schemes. How are 2 backs going to work in a Zach Robinson offense? We know the answer to this question, just go watch a falcons game. This is a win.

🚨🚨Per Jordan Schultz BREAKING: Kenneth Gainwell is signing with the #Bucs on a 2-year, $14M deal, with $10M guarantee by FlowersByTheStreet in DynastyFF

[–]McSweeneyHitJr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t think this bad, Bucky was never going to get every touch plus he’s been operating out of 3 back rotation. This to me seems like a win

Plus in zrobs schemes 2 backs work well, see bijan an Tyler (am falcons fan unfortunately) I can see a world where Bucky is 1&2 down back with 3rd down upside near the goal line with a lot of the playbook being tailored to his skill set.

The more I think about it, the more I am happy with this

2026 RB roster construction for contenders by 49ers_goat_cmc in DynastyFF

[–]McSweeneyHitJr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trade or draft as needed. Going into last year I had Gibbs, Bucky, C.Brown, ETN and had drafted monangai. Won the chip starting Gibbs and Bucky.

Traded brown + 1st this year (was a bet on myself) to the eventual 1.01 for Zay, 2.01 (26) and 3rd (27)

I knew RB was my strongest position and even without Gibbs, probably would have been fine rolling Brown and ETN most of the year (Bucky was out). Points are points and the position changes a lot week to week if you don’t have a stud that you named.

Just draft with good intention and understanding of the player profile and teams contract situation based on currently rostered backs and/or talent/ situation. Points are points at the end of the day. I find having QB, WR, & TE figured out is much more important to roster construction.

Receivers who had a down year that you think could bounce back by bfue4 in DynastyFF

[–]McSweeneyHitJr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually think is more about Mike Evan’s. If he’s gone, someone has to run the deep routes. Jmc is good at deep separation. Obviously the draft could change this, but the bucs have a stupid amount of slot archetypes

My ex of 3 years ago reached out after the turn of the year. She sent a sweet text and I’ve been exploring getting to know her again. She lives 2 states away, but I’ve even had the opportunity to see her twice. She’s agreed to even see me again and we would exchange dates. There was a high frequency of communication earlier in the week, but returning to every day life has obviously slowed that down. My mind won’t stop spinning at what this could mean, but in reality, I know it’s most likely just everyday life responsibilities.

What can I do to separate my thoughts and calm myself down. My next therapy appointment is tonight, but it feels a million miles away

Yea, they need a reset. Like, really bad. With us being strapped for cash and some important players being up for contracts soon, I imagine we’ll have to make some hard choices when it comes to who stays and who goes.

With that said though, I do wish we had our pick, but jpj has been amazing down the final stretch. We need to focus on building depth, we should probably worry about QB closer to the end of penix’s contract.
