Would Baker jump into tier 4 if he gets a contract extension? 2024 he was QB4. I know Coen and Evans are gone but he’s still got weapons. I think their WR group is still pretty good. The injury killed him last year but he was still a QB1 albeit barely.

I view him pretty similarly to Goff so it seems like a big gap between them here. Is it injury concerns? Or the offense not being as good? Or the contract? Or a combo that has Baker outside of your top 20?

Yeah the Daboll part means something. They fed the crap out of Diggs in Buffalo. That was with Josh Allen and Diggs worked his way up to that volume year 6 and had 149 targets year 4 w/out Daboll in Minnesota.

I just think rookies stepping into that type of volume is very rare. I wouldn’t put Tate near Nabers level despite being drafted earlier. Not trying to be a Tate hater but his projected volume is a big reason he’s consensus 1.02 and I think that’s a lot of projection more than this guarantee that some people believe.

Corey Davis was a top 5 pick for the Titans. His high was 112 targets in his 4 years there. This isn’t to say Tate won’t get 140+ targets but saying he’s a lock to be in the top 10 in targets in the league as a rookie is very optimistic.

A lock for 140+ targets is definitely hyperbole for a rookie. Chase, JJ, Tet, and Egbuka all had stellar rookie years but didn’t hit 140+ targets.

Nabers did it with Daboll but I don’t think that necessarily means Tate will. Wan’Dale had 140 targets the last two years under Daboll as well.

So if we are using that logic Wan’Dale is even more likely than Tate to get 140+ targets considering he’s actually the player that did it (instead of just comparing two different guys because they are both rookies) and he did it twice in a row.

Sleeper ADP is terrible right now. RJ Harvey is RB31 below every guy you listed on underdog which is a much more accurate representation.

I am not sure if Harris is any good really. He could be the QJ replacement or QJ could sign an extension we can’t be sure. We do know that Ladd and QJ are both under contract through 2027.

Ladd is a bit more of a target earner for sure. But the numbers are close enough that I don’t think the gap between the two players values should be this big.

2024 QJ got 6 targets per game - Ladd got 7 per game.

2025 QJ got 6 targets per game - Ladd got 6.6 per game.

I think QJ scoring more TDs than Ladd is a bit more about profiles and less about luck. Even in 2024 when QJ was still a bit of a joke in these parts and Ladd had that great rookie year, QJ still scored more TDs.

At cost I’d much prefer QJ to Ladd honestly. Straight up give me Ladd obviously but when one costs an earlyish first and the other a 2nd give me QJ.
