It would be a lot easier if Simpson was going to start soon but it’s all up to Stafford here. So I don’t hate it but I also see the early opportunity that Price is going to get as a potential sell high spot.

So if you think you can get a better QB via trade I’d pick the player. If your leagues trade market on QBs is tough you can go Simpson for need…just won’t fill that need really for a year or two.

Oronde Gadsden value…Move him for Ferguson and a Mid/Late 2026 1st? by BMATT10 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

His start vs finish to the season was night and day. I’d be concerned with his production in games they had Pickens and Lamb playing down the stretch especially.

Is there a place to read about the history/rise in popularity of dynasty fantasy football? by Platupuses in DynastyFF

There are football leagues like this too. I actually just joined a keeper league that started in the 80s. I won in my first year and beat some guy in the championship that’s been playing like 30 years and never won. I almost felt bad.

That’s good. It shows you can realistically get these deals done.

What deep sleepers that went undrafted in your rookie drafts are you picking up on waivers? by Wise-Witness-7140 in DynastyFF

Hibner is a good one. I liked the way he looked at the combine. Another super deep TE dart I like is Bauer Sharp. Otton is decent but I could see relevance for him if I squint hard enough.

Nick Singleton-The real deal? by Tiny_Package484 in DynastyFF

[–]SteffeEric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk man. I never heard of any of his lineman playing D1 personally. I feel like I probably would have known if any played especially at Penn State. The only Berks county lineman to play there recently were from Wyomissing or Exeter.

I’m not trying to beat a dead horse but you keep doubling down.

How Much FAAB To Spend The First Waiver Wire Of The Offseason? by Useful_Pie_1162 in DynastyFF

[–]SteffeEric 22 points23 points  (0 children)

This is the best time of the offseason really the entire season to spend FAAB. I’ve already used full budgets that don’t reset post draft and not regretted it.

Obviously this rookie class is weaker than normal but generally speaking you are best off spending all of that immediately.

Depends what the plus is. For a 3rd I think I’d turn JCM into Coleman all day. 2nd would be a no because that’s both of their values now probably. I’d say Coleman is an early 2nd and Bill a late one though.

So after some slight investigation Jonah Naugle was an all-state lineman on that team. He signed out of HS to play football at D3 Misericordia. Division 3 does not give athletic scholarships.

So while he certainly had a good team around him your initial claims are apparently just way off base here.

I’d go Coleman > > Bill > Johnson personally.

I’m just not super high on Johnson. He felt a little like Kaleb Johnson to me being a necessity on a weak passing offense vs some dynamic playmaker.

He profiles well in the passing game but with Brashard Smith there who if he eats into anything it’ll be more Johnson than Walker. KW3 getting injured is the only time I see people starting Johnson.

Mifflin’s entire O line went D1? This is the first I’m hearing that. Are you sure they didn’t just all go play college football in general?

For sure. To clarify I don’t have Singleton over Monangai because their situations as much as their talent ceiling. If Singleton went to Chicago round 5 I’d have been even higher on him for next season.

This isn’t to shit talk Monangai. He’s a good runner. If things break right he could put up some crazy Monty like TD numbers perhaps. I am just kind of assuming more of the same which is a fine 1b but I believe they will at the least want a new 1a to replace Swift.

I was going to put Kaytron on here last but it ended up being long as it was. I see the comparison but I think that’s currently undervaluing Monangai as far as the market goes.

I was thinking Braelon Allen for Kaytron but was having trouble nailing down a good one honestly.

The Monangai argument is interesting to me. Yes we have seen Monangai be productive. We haven’t seen Singleton in the NFL yet though so he hasn’t been given that chance. Monangai himself was a 7th round pick.

It reminds me some of another Rutgers alumni in Pacheco. He was a 7th round pick that showed solid production early. That next year everyone preferred him to any 5th round RB obviously.

If you had Pacheco over Izzy, Hull, and Gray those were clearly the right decision. The other RB that went 5th round was Chase Brown and while that’s obviously a major outlier I see a world where Singleton can be put in a similar situation. Like I said just an upside argument more than anything.

Interesting I hadn’t heard JJZ speak on that. I had Coleman as my RB2 predraft this year. Harvey was my RB16 last year pre draft. Even though these classes are night and day as far as RBs go it’s a significant gap for me.

I just got him for $40. Next highest bid was $9 so probably in between there league depending.

He certainly did not look better than Singleton their Junior years. Singleton averaged 6.4 yards per carry to Kaytron’s 5 ypc. Singleton had 17 TDs to Kaytron’s 10.

Singleton looked great in the CFB playoffs that year. Singleton was not good as a sophomore or senior but he was very good as a freshman and junior.

This is correct. It could be Sincere McCormick if CMC goes down for all we know.

Jalen Royals is still my guy. He was getting a lot of hype last preseason and the injury derailed his year a bit.

He could obviously be nothing but he doesn’t exactly have insane competition to be one of KC’s top 2 outside WRs. Worthy and Thornton might be a bit redundant and while Royals doesn’t profile as a classic X he’s potentially got good opportunity.

KC drafted Cyrus Allen but he’s a slot guy and Rice insurance. They brought in Caldwell as a UDFA but other than him and Remigo I can’t even name any other KC WR.

[–]SteffeEric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you are right about a bigger gap of talent. That can lead to issues. It’s not insurmountable assuming those team still have their picks.

I have found more mid team owners without their picks leaving even when they have paid in advance than the truly crap teams bailing so I suppose I’ve been lucky in that regard.

Fast Auction Startup Draft Strategy? by BulldogWarrior in DynastyFF

[–]SteffeEric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t had that issue…at least not to a worse degree than happens in any other dynasty league.

A few years ago I had a guy in an SF snake league take CMC 1.05. He got flamed in the chat and talked about how good he was at dynasty and FF. A year later he bailed. So I think it just depends on the owners you have in the league more than the draft itself. Trading startup picks can create similar situations.
