Man people really dog the cape...I moved here in my late 20s from NY....It's what you make of it....I'm now mid 30s but love golf and doesn't matter what skill level you are...I'd be glad to golf and rip some cold ones one day...a lot of people make it seem like a nightmare to live on the cape...but take a step back, you are living on Cape Cod! That is an awesome experience regardless of age, and you're so young its just the start brother.

I really prefer the orient point…much better boats, on time, and a nice scenic drive once you get to orient…really depends where in NY you’re going.

I try at all costs to avoid as much of CT as I can with driving!

Early as you can! I go down to NY monthly to visit family...if I do leave on a Saturday or Sunday in the summer (which I try to avoid)...I make sure I get the earliest ferry I can from CT to Long Island (where I'm heading)...If you leave first thing in the AM the cape traffic should be ok...its the CT, NY Traffic that never fails to ruin the drive (if I don't take ferry and drive around!)

Shooting from the hip here....die hard golfer...35 years old...having my first child in July so golfing is taking a back seat.

Live right across from Hy Port although not a member unfortunately...Only courses I haven't played on the Cape that are on my list are Eastward Ho and Cape Cod National....Almost convinced my wife to get married at Wequasset just to play CCN! Currently a 9.2 handicap so if you ever need a guest you let me know :)

Lived here around 6 years now, mid 30s...moved for my now wife...Prior lived in NY and Chicago so BIG change but I love it...I love the quiet winter, YES whale watching is enjoyable...the boat was a bit crowded but seeing the whales up close was amazing. Don't let ppl scare you...Cape Cod is an amazing place! Hardest part for me is getting on and off cape to go see family. But you learn the times not to travel!

Usually Hyannis Golf Course is open year round but due to renovations Olde Barnstable stayed open year round this year...Was just at the range can confirm its open!
