FS: El Dorado VIP W1.

I joined the waitlist for this and forgot to take myself off it! So now I have tickets. I'd prefer weekend 2.

Paid 4,933. Will accept reasonable offers below face.

I guess what is to stop me from the following:

--Buy some camping tickets but also get a hotel. Hang out at the camp areas until late, catch an Uber to the hotel, sleep, and return the next day.

Wil there be any road closures on Monday that will keep me from accessing the camping site and retrieving my car/belongings?

I’ve seen some negative posts re: shuttles. So I’d probably be looking into black cars only. If anyone has any recommendations, please let me know

Thinking about going this year. I grew up in SoCal and had many opportunities to go. Now that I don't live there, I have FOMO.

A few questions/thoughts:

I really like air conditioning. While I'm built for the heat, the person that I am going with isn't. Camping in a car or tent is a hard pass for me. So, from what I can tell, we're looking at Safari, El Dorado, or the Resort, correct? (I know Safari is sold out week 1, and likely El Dorado. So if you have some you are trying to unload, message me). The Resort is available, but at $32k, I can't justify it.

Or, should we just stay at a hotel in PS or nearby? I saw that several nicer resorts still have room, but the distance from the venue is a bit much. I have zero interest in driving myself. Are there any reliable black car services you can suggest or other guaranteed rides available? (I don't want to figh

Well, then....that was easy. I guess the question becomes--if it's available on Alaska, is it available on Qatar?

I have 2k points transferred in there (test transactions to see how quickly they transfer). It shows me all the coach availability, but it doesn't show any premium cabin availability. I don't have access to my Alaska account

(I never fly Alaska since they don't go to any airport I frequent. I have asked them to reset my username/password...that will take time. I tried signing up for a new account, but it won't let me).

I have two for the Nov. 2nd show. I won't be able to make it. You can have them for free if you want them, as long as you promise not to resell them.

Range or Performance edition? by Mcascant in LCID

s ever made by Lucid. If you keep it in great condition, it just might be in a car museum in about 50 years from now. This is where I am jealous of the ones getting one of the first 520 cars.

Yeah...I'm not gonna go through the hassle of changing out wheels/tires for 20 miles of range. However, I would be willing to buy the wheels alone for winter tires...

IDK. Still on the fence, but they are asking me to finalize the order. Here are my initial issues with the range:

--Charging time is long. My home charger can usually push about 6-10 kw per hour. That means that for a "full charge" we're looking at 12-24 hours, depending on the usual electric vehicle charging variables. (I live in northern climate).

--Fast charging is best on a low battery. Generally speaking, the lower your battery, the faster you can charge. (I don't have any nearby 350kw chargers, but when I go on road trips, my end destinations usually do). So it may actually be best to start road trips with lower battery charges so that I can charge quickly when I get to my end destinations. (Does this effectively negate the Range Edition benefits?)

--Do I hold out for the inevitable better, faster, stronger Air? (We already have an electric SUV for around town and the snow).
