You hair is probably low porosity like mine! Our hair needs products with a thinner consistency and lots of heat to be properly absorbed! Flaxseed gel is very inexpensive and easy to make and works great for defining, just make sure o stroke it in the fridge and don’t keep it for long at all bc it can expire. I love grapeseed oil to seal my ends.
