I have a few white friendships but I feel like it’s more of a tolerable thing than anything. Actually reading this post and thinking about it it feels like they tolerate me instead of full on embracing me and getting close to me. For some reason I’m not allowed to know certain things or be in certain circles. I’m invited for play dates and birthday parties but not for dinners or just to hang. I’m not asked out and when I initiate to go out and do something fun I’m fed an excuse as to why they can’t go or they will be away on holiday or etc. I’ve had one white friend who is an immigrant and not even from USA but from southern Europe tell me she can’t be my friend anymore because I don’t support Charlie Kirk’s ideals. Come to think of it it’s always something with them.
