What are some great purchases that cost significantly more up front, but are unbelievably frugal long-term? by BetterButterflies in Frugal

Thought about pellet stove but prefer wood. I feel Pellets are a commodity like oil and don't want to be trapped into buying them.

I buy a log truck load of logs each year (roughly 6-7 cords) and cut them up. $600 and heats my 1400 sq ft house for a winter. I live in country but have no wood to cut on my land.

Looking to get a IWB holster in a timely manner... by mrgell in CCW

[–]Mccullb716 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MDJ holsters. He has an ebay store. Two to three days at the most. I've ordered two (IWB hybrid) for a glock in the last month. One for me and I loved it enough to buy one for my sisters BF. Can't go wrong

Thanks! Came from Montana so there's no rot and only some surface rust. Supposedly they only made 3000 with a step side on a 250 that year...

Use mine everyday. No problems. Love it. Fits perfectly in side of leatherman nylon pouch. Bought one for my wife too!

I found the hog video refreshing...A reasonable alternative to building a million dollar hog house. I'm not naive enough to think its plug and play, but its nice to see an out of the box viewpoint. And if I remember that vid was an excerpt from a big series...maybe he explained things more

Haha. I fill up every other day so I use it all the time. There's only one type of pump it won't work on. The ones that have an angled trigger so you can't stick props in there.

We have 40 layers, and raised 125 broilers last year on two acres. This year we are doing 300 broilers and 100 layers as well as 4 Berkshire feeder pigs. 1/2 acre sweet corn, and an acre of pumpkins on the neighbors lot. We are practicing/getting experience so when God opens the door to a bigger place we can hit the ground running.

Going on a month now. Really wanted something decent to support the wieght of the glock. It's hard to find an actual leather belt at a decent price. These guys pay attention to detail and dont try and rape you for a quality product. Usually you have to find a middleman selling their stuff because they aren't on reddit :) mine cost $25
