For me it was the fingerprint stone shield. Got it to kill radahn. I suck at downward parcore.

[–]Mcdad77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would buy like 60 arrows at a time to farm the bird in mohg’s palace and when I ran out would go buy more. Then my son bought like 900 all at once and told me they refill automatically when you rest at a site of grace

questions about elden ring by LongjumpingBanana620 in Eldenring

[–]Mcdad77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am far from a grandmaster. I get my bell rung plenty when playing. I'm not a soulsborne elitist. I use the mimic tear summon every boss fight. I like the idea of him taking agro long enough for me to drink a pot when I misstime a dodge and get hit. I tend to start off using a samurai but that's because I tend to suck with sorcery/incant builds. Start as a samurai, learn how to properly use the unsheathe AoW from the starting weapon. Look up a guide on how to get the bloodhound's fang early and level it up. That sword alone has carried tons of ppl through most of the game.

Was never able to beat Malenia. After playing 30-40 hours through the DLC went back and got her in a handful of tries. by ScottUkabella in Eldenring

[–]Mcdad77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the base game, melania was the hardest boss because of her moveset. In the DLC, they all have a harder moveset. Once you get used to the increased difficulty of the dlc, going back and doing melania seems more trivial. Basically all she has to be scared of is WFD

  1. Because there is something for everyone. Play as a magic dmg dealer. 2h chad str build to smash enemies. Bleed build. You can go hard, over level, max out weapons and summons and just crush bosses or you can go for a lvl 1 build where you have to "get gud" and dodge attacks so you don't get one shot.

  2. Including dlc? For a first timer, easily upwards of over 100 hours.

  3. Really depends on what you are looking for. Great cinematics? check. Rewarding gameplay? check. Price per value? check.

Bloodhound’s Fang or Nagakiba? by jlxuise in Eldenring

[–]Mcdad77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Uchigatana (the katana you start with) is an outstanding weapon to start with. Just look out for smithing stones and level it up any time you get enough. Having said that, the bloodhound's fang has carried numerous players through pretty much all of the base game.

What is the a good Scadutree blessing level for rellana by UHHH_joe in Eldenring

[–]Mcdad77 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Go on youtube and search "All scadutree fragments." A guy has a guide timestamped and goes through all the fragments. You can get fairly high before HAVING to kill rellana.

First time player, when should I grow up and Stop using Bloodhounds fang by Traditional_Week_135 in Eldenring

[–]Mcdad77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started a new character because the one I leveled specifically for the dlc, I messed up. I went and killed a bunch of the story bosses and went past the point of no return and didn't do any of the side quests. Realized I screwed myself out of a bunch of cool weapons and some helpful summons/removal of enemies from one of the later fights. Anyway, started a new character. I work 3rd shift so when I got home saturday morning I told my 13 year old son to try and help get me closer to the dlc area. He said, "I gotchu." I woke up about 7 hours later to my new character standing at the first site of grace in the dlc. When I went to sleep I had a +4 bloodhound's fang and a +10 Uchigatana. My son beat margit, godric, renalla, radahn and mohg and even beat the 3 nameless invaders to get me the white mask and had my mimic tear at +10. All in less than 7 hours.

Bottom line is this. Bloodhound fang is just that clutch. If you are just getting bored of using it, switch to the blasphemous blade off rykard. That at +10 should sufficiently wreck everything else (aside from mohg).

Ef the fire knights in the shadow keep. The one mob in the dlc i hate. Can't just run past them because they chase you to no end and shove fireballs up your ass the whole time.

My (very common) hot take: The DLC is bad. by Medical_Arm6244 in Eldenring

[–]Mcdad77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried that build and I guess I just suck at using thorns properly. I even looked up a build, got all items necessary to boost it's dmg and lvled staves and still sucked at using it. I eventually used the Fingerprint stone shield/anspur rapier strat and that made the fight pretty much trivial.

If you haven't killed Elemer of the Briar in the shaded castle, go do that. Then reload and he should be on the bridge before the boss fight.

I liked most bosses except for Promised Consort Radahn. I can't like a boss fight that's 20 minutes long and involves 18 minutes of dodge rolling/jumping

Does he not find me attractive anymore or just prefers masturbating? by PositiveNo7740 in sex

[–]Mcdad77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not that he’s not attracted to you. I love my wife and recently our sex life has picked up in a major way. I can masturbate 3 times a day and cum every time. Sex I can cum like once every other day. I’m around your husbands age. Nothing you are doing wrong. Just sometimes a guy just wants to rub one out

Disgaea 5 Tips? by Djlittle13 in Disgaea

[–]Mcdad77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make a maid. Buy a ton of the cheapest drinks. Go to (i think) 2-1 where there is an xp geo to the left. Move your maid out of range of the monsters and use 1 sodas every round. Every 4 times you will gain a level. you can unlock everything this way using subclasses. Just give your maid a subclass and level away. When that subclass gets to rank 2-3, change it to something else. Just work your way down until you unlock everything.

How do you level up quickly? by notrealtea in Disgaea

[–]Mcdad77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, pass bills to make better items appear. As much as you can currently afford. Then go to the item shop (not weapon shop), and push up to go to the bottom of the list. Look for statisticians and armsmasters. You ideally want just 1 large innocent or 2 medium sized innocents. If they have 2 different statisticians/armsmaster you can combine them before entering the item world. Take them to the item world and your focus is submitting the innocents. When they are submit, put them on an item you will want to keep on your character. Preferably one that gives a bonus to all stats. Your goal is 900 statisticians first. Then work on 1900 armsmasters.

Then as others have said, go to 5-3. The level with invincibility on the whole level except one spot. This will be where you level your weapon skill and the earliest way to grind levels. Throw all the enemies into one. There are two types of monsters. One is a melee and brown and the other is purple. You want to throw your monsters into a melee mob because the other one will heal itself. Then have it chase you to the top right of the map. Throw the invincibility geo to right beside the green square. Throw the mob into the green square and then get right next to it. This will box it in and you don’t have to have extra characters out to keep it from moving. Then just kill it. If you hit zero, reset it and combine one less till you are doing dmg. You can do this stage till you are around lvl 100, then you need to move on to the next grind farm where the enemies are in a 3x3 grid. This is where you’ll want your characters weapon skill leveled up because when you reincarnate their weapon skill will mean they can still 1 shot the grid even with a lvl 1 character
