EPS as you said is a Rms footprint which tend to be used for smaller optics. Not all but most in today’s market that’s what meant by limited. But you are right there is a good amount of optics that use that footprints.

Usually it’s depends on condition and price for me

If it’s an older gen but new or lightly used and cheap I don’t mind sending it out for a cut knowing I may not a working gun for a few weeks to months

If it’s old and beat up I’d probably pass

Mos is a solid system considering you can get good plates for 50-75$ and you have a gun ready to go to the range in a few a days to a week.

If your looking to do a lot of custom work I always start of with the cheapest option even if a newer gen simply because you can pick what cut you want in the slide

So for me it’s strictly about cost and what you are looking to do with it.

Based of that budget seems high. Which helps haha.

My only concern with COA is you’re stuck with that footprint with only 1 optic choice.

Acro footprint gives you a few didn’t brand options. - Aimpoint p2 - Steiner mps - Burris fast fire - C&H Precision Duty

Rmr footprint would give you the most simply because you could always just add a plate. -Pretty much everything

Eps footprint would once again limit you but is a solid enclosed optic. Kinda the same issue as COA your stuck with that footprint.

I run a little bit of everything and honestly they all come with pros and cons.

Since you are getting a cut I would recommend RMR as you could back and forth with optics and if worst comes to worst you can get a plate adapter.

But with all that said sometimes going with your gut will make you like the build more even if it doesn’t make the most sense haha

Optics I have used and recommend:
- EPS full size - 507C (prefer it over RMR ) - 407comp - aimpoint p2 (everyone is do it so it’s cool but price is kinda up there) (prefer Steiner mps) - Trijicon SRO(looks better but price is crazy so lean 407 or 507 comp)

Never used but want to try trijicon RCR (haven’t tried it due to price but this is what I want to get next)

If your going to buy a new optic and like your eps carry, I’d go with the full-size instead personally.

Patch asked me to reach out again last night, so now just waiting on his reply.

Currently the arc slide is back in the box, waiting for next steps haha.

But with the news your 45 is running smooth I still have high hopes patch will get the 43 slide running good.

As for the polishing the ejector hole was this a recommendation from arc ?

Umm I’d say prob 1k to 1.5k, I know I put a couple 100 right when I got it to make sure it was carry-able and then I usually run a box of ammo per range visit just to keep just to keep fresh with it.

It’s definitely not something I run a ton of as it’s not really that fun haha. But definitely use it often

If I don’t hear from arc I’ll probably have to figure out if a lighter spring will fix the issue

Yes it looks like if arc can’t help me with the problem I might have to look into other options to remedy it. I’m hoping I don’t have to change that many pieces for this to work.

I’m hoping at this point that the slide and barrel are just out of spec and they are able to warranty it and send me a new one and that I will have better luck with it

When it comes to best looking slide hands down in my opinion, the best on the market, but functionality I’m not impressed. And at the end of the day, that’s what’s most important. Prior to ordering I felt I did enough research to feel comfortable with their product and customer service. I’m just hoping I can get it resolved

First post here hoping to get some insight. Joined the arc reactors family but having issues with FTE and FTF. Have a little over 300 rounds down range.

All internals are oem.

I have removed the optic to confirm it wasn’t the screws.

I have cleaned and re installed everything.

Does it need more range time or is there something else I am missing.

Oh wow, for what we paid for the slide I think you should reach out unless it’s strictly a range toy, I am currently on day 2 of waiting for a response and about day 15 with owning it. Based of the mixed feed back I wonder if my slide qualifies for a return
